Looking for advice on an online Masters in Divinity

I realize coming to the Internet's Number One Source for Trucks Nuts, Divorce Advice, and Gas Prices Are Too Low Bitching™ might be ill advised for this topic, but only so many websites make it through the work filter.
I'm looking to begin an online Divinity program soon and I'm trying to find some people with experience in the realm. Liberty University offers what seems to be the cheapest and still accredited by the ATS program. I do wonder how respected they are. They also champion themselves as a leader in online education. They're advertised as 'non denominational', but I'm hoping that actually means 'interdenominational'. I don't want every class taught from a 'non denom' view but would enjoy some more reformed view points. Would love to talk to someone who has been through the program who can share some insight into the work load. Also open to other suggestions for online programs. I'm not dead set on Liberty, it just seems like the best option.
A little background on myself. I'm not looking for an immediate career in ministry. I'm a young guy working in the engineering/construction business who has a strong passion for Christ, the Church, and bringing a theological sense into the charismatic circles I run in. I'm not after a degree for a job to make money, but rather to open some bi-vocational teaching avenues down the road. I miss the challenges of the academic life.

Oh God yes. People really think that here? I've been saying it should be $5/gallon for years now. If you're really that sensitive to gas prices you need to get on the bus and get your stupid '99 Corolla deathtrap out of my way.

How much do you have in savings? What’s your yearly income? Age?
How much does the program cost?
I see no reason not to do it if you can afford it. It’s no different than someone having a passion for a hobby and pursuing it as a side job or something they do regularly.

I can print you out a high-quality diploma right now and send it overnight FedEx for $350.
I kid. I kid. Did you seek advice from your minister/pastor/rabbi/guru/shaman about this?
EDIT: You're an Alabama fan. You know you're going to hell, right?
Again, I kid.

The food board would probably give more help than the OT.

Most people I know that have gone through Liberty have enjoyed it.
One of my best friends is getting his Doctorare in Finance and as much as he hates the course work, he likes how they do it.
Regarding the Theology, most people that hate Liberty hate it because they are Bible believing and haven’t said scripture is mutable and homosexuality isn’t a sin. I don’t love the whole “gays are going to hell” thing but usually when a church/school starts making changes along those lines of inerrancy of the scripture is coming soon. Cant speak to the reformed part, but it at least speaks to the fact that they have held strong when a lot of other schools don’t. The graduates I know from there would mostly be categorized as Reformed Baptist in their theology.
I wasn’t a big fan of Falwell Jr. and his Trump adoration. And I say that as a Trump voter.

27
Single
$150k in savings
Make $80k/yr right now
Spend $1k/mo in rent/utilities. No vehicle payment.
Liberty's program would cost about $20k after completion
I'm good financially.

Of course. Just hoping that I might run into someone on here with first hand experience with the program or other online divinity programs.

Go for the Doctorate so we can all call you Dr. Ssubba.
Also you can then Demand all others call you Dr. to the point of getting them fired and blacklisted if they refuse.

I'm a Catholic. I could maybe give you numbers if you were looking into the priesthood but I think that might be a little more than what you're looking for.

I agree. Glad Falwell is gone. That said, I'd assume most people who would look at a MDiv on a resume could separate the Liberty name from the recent string of negative news.

Ha! Not in this wretched hive of scum and villainy! You must be cautious.

for sure. even the SJW liberty grads i know still love their school, they just hated him.
again, i'm pretty pro-Trump in the grand scheme of things, but I don't like religious leaders cozying up to him as an unrepentant sinner.
so it's not a direct answer but i have friends that have gone there online, and gotten divinity degrees and all are pretty positive about the experience.

Thank you. If you're comfortable or know them well enough, would you be willing to toss me an email contact via PM? I would love to talk with someone who has completed their Mdiv program. Ignore if that's too direct.

I have one (not from Liberty), but did it in person - homiletics, languages, practicum and all. Not against online education but a M.Div should include the in-person discipleship from profs. That’s part of the educational experience.
If you’re doing it for the academic part, then just get a masters in theology or ThM.
