Lots of misinformation in these posts, some truth in a few of them. Blonde hair sister in that pic is just over 18, so nice work posting pics of young girls and someone's daughter.

I believe Mr. Taylor used to own Little Pecan, had financial issues in the 80's, donated it to the Nature Conservancy, and then it was sold to Flores.

I bet that pissed off Mr. Taylor. It would piss me off if I donated my land to a conservation group and they turned and sold it to a big oil businessman...

William Deering was one of the founders of International Harvester and Miami Corporation was created to manage the Deering family's assets. Miami Corp owns many thousands of acres of Louisiana marshland that was acquired as investment property back in the early 1900s. Their properties are now leased for hunting, farming and its minerals. Their hunting leases alone bring in millions of dollars annually.

I fly in and out of Little Pecan often. Great airport. They give you a can of Bergeron Pecans everytime you land.

First of all.. 18 is the magical age where it becomes fair game.

Second.. what’s such a young barely 18 year old drinking in that picture, Mr Morality?

He built a levee around it, drained and dredged it, refilled and stocked it.

Google earth shows this process starting in 2007. By 2009 its looks to be completely drained and you can see the levee work. 2010 its full of water again.

My cousin-in-law has hunted here a couple times. He's a fishing charter guide with some deep pocketed clients who will return the favor from time to time with a hunt out of this place. He hunts all over the US and says this place is a sight to see.
