It's been a few years, but I've been to that airport a few times for work.
Jim owns the property and the airport and the riding stables and all else. It’s a great duck hunt.

He is from Lafayette. Lives in River Ranch and Palm Beach and his plane is a Citation. He leases the King Aire.

Could be. I remember they both owned a good deal of land around Little Pecan. Jim use to also lease a good portion from Miami Corp.
I seem to remember the Nature Conservancy owning the land where the airport is and selling to Flores. Miami Corps owned the land surrounding the island and wanted to also purchase it. There was something controversial about it, but it don't recall the details. This was back in the mid-90s.

I believe Mr. Taylor used to own Little Pecan, had financial issues in the 80's, donated it to the Nature Conservancy, and then it was sold to Flores.

So, I guess he moved home from Houston following the Freeport split? Looking at info on his Houston home, he's got to feel cramped in River Ranch. Pretty sure there aren't any that come close to his Houston commune.

No I meant River Oaks in Houston not River Ranch. He is from Lafayette. I’ve hunted there several times and while he has plenty of help he works his arse off on that property.
