Government will make them wait years before even being able to start with this. Mining in volcanic sediments will be more expensive compared to some other companies that have been hitting hurdles mining in the US for many years. Meanwhile, other countries put these mining companies on a fast track.

There is plenty of lithium in CONUS. There's a big site in the SW, and lithium brine aplenty in Arkansas. The problem is that the mining and refinement stages are environmentally nasty. Click here for pics of lithium mining and EU's guilt trip over it.
It's easy to say leftist this, environmental whacko that when it's in somebody else's back yard. If they announced plans for a lithium mine in Prairieville people would be having a shite fit and it wouldn't just be leftists.
Other countries are fast tracking these projects with minimum regulations and oversight.
We used to do that in this country too. It's how we got hundreds of orphan and abandoned leaking oil wells that plague us to this day.

Funny 52 week low is $0.41 but you got a 7% discount.

I bought it as soon as the market opened today at $0.38 a share.

The premarket price (6 am) was .48 cents market open was at .52 cents and the 52 week low is .41 cents.
ETA: 4 insiders sold 2.91 million shares within the last 3 months. This baby is going to go belly up before a strong demand for lithium gets started. Company started in 2023 which couldn’t have happened at a worse time. Only 8 employees.

My bad. I am not sure why I was thinking $0.38. I just looked, it was $0.518 when I bought it. I put the order in last night. I looked to see where it was when the market closed, but I plan on holding on to it for a few weeks.

Guys who mined it here would expect salary, benefits, health care, stuff like that. 9 year old Ndugu on the other hand will work all day for a stale piece of bread.
I’ve been told multiple times on this board that always seeking maximum value for shareholders is and should be the singular goal for any for profit company. I guess that’s “leftist” now.

lithium
Good dude.

The traditional evaporation ponds in South America are not environmentally friendly. However, the Smackover brine field in SW Arkansas and East Texas will be "mined" using DLE technology...which is MUCH MUCH more environmentally friendly as you are returning everything you pump out of the brine, back to the reservoir minus the lithium. The footprint is relatively small.
Rock mining (spodumene) is still nasty for the environment.

It’s true that setting ethical standards is difficult in the corporate world. What standards? Especially when dealing with amoral people, like woke leftists, and immoral people, like greedy capitalists.
But could you show me where “this board” said multiple times that profit was the singular goal?

Don't advertise it and just mine it. When Lefty comes, beat him with a pick axe or shovel. Problem solved.

They’re probably voicing concern on their IPhone while they drive their EV/hybrid car.

True, but it a lot easier to justify the social cost for projects like these that are out of sight out of mind. According to the Google machine, the McDermitt area is one of the poorest parts of both states and only has a population of about 500. So instead of Prairieville, middle of north Webster parish would be a closer comparison. And from my experience nobody cares about north Webster parish.
EPA will probably make permits easy under the "Unleash American Energy" executive order.

That's a scary level of mismanagement, maybe trading is not for you.

they are so dumb, we need lithium to carry out their green energy agenda, but they won't let it be mined because it hurts the environment

Even if you get it mined where are you going to get it refined?
One of the main reasons China controls rare earth minerals is they have most of the refineries.
Good luck getting a new refinery built.
