You really are the fricking worst. I guess you know more than Dr Fauci who has said doing as much social distancing as possible will help slow the spread.

2020 sucked. It was such a weird time to be alive. From the shutdowns, quarantine, the mask hysteria, the vaccine hysteria, the crap ton of people who died, etc.
That's without even mentioning the race riots over a scumbag who o'd.

Meanwhile, no one is mentioning there is a level 4 bio containment laboratory in Wuhan.

Then don’t make assumptions about how you think my opinion has changed due to hindsight.
You used the Italian hospitalization figures as evidence that we knew enough on 3/9/20, your benchmark date for this thread when the first Italian case wasn't even confirmed until 2/20. Sorry if I'm a bit skeptical of your prior sourcing based on that.

No they weren’t. That shite was the sniffles.
Compared to what was shown in the initial videos out of Wuhan in 2019 it was obvious that it was being blown out of proportion.

I remember people on here hinting they hope we die.
Half of democrats wanted unvaccinated parents to have their children taken from their homes or be sent to camps according to major polls at one point.
However bad you think it was, things were actually worse on the northeast and west coasts.

No I didn’t. I used South Korea’s testing and the cruise ships. Both of which were extensive and great environments to extrapolate from. The panicked posters were using Italy.

It wasn't even just Democrats. Just look how many OTers wanted a guy to be sued and lose everything for going in public. That's just looking at a few pages.

Drop the thread link into AI with a poster's name and ask for an explanation of their position on the issue and the evolution of that issue for giggles.
It basically said that I called the hysteria a mass overreaction and turned into a complete dick about it as time went on.
At the time I was immensely stressed out and just thinking about that whole time period makes my blood boil. We did so much damage to the economy and psychological health of so many people for no reason.

And still, to this very day, a bunch of fricking retards that can't admit they were wrong and couldn't think for their own self and also jeopardized their children while altering their future health forever.

Proud to say the same.
Suck it, nerds.

I think it's pretty easy to look back with 20/20 vision and criticize things, but March and April were legit unknown times.
That’s always the excuse isn’t it? Actually for people with critical thinking skills many things were pretty clear.

I remember being sent to sort out a major revenue impacting issue during COVID out of state by a senior executive and when a Karen HR member found out she literally tried to fire me despite having just done what I was told in writing. Woman looked like she would’ve physically attacked me through the zoom call if she could’ve despite people being on full remote so it didn’t impact anyone else.
People completely lost their minds and I now understand how hysteria can take hold when fear and media conditioning combine whereas pre-COVID stories of Nazi germany or whatever seemed completely impossible to fathom.

Governor Honor Chode's daily fear pressers were a hoot

I got more pushback later in the thread when real lockdowns started. As soon as cases started increasing, mayors and governors were tripping over each other to close down for a week.. 2 weeks… a month. All for the perceived PR of being “safe” and “caring the most.” But there was no blackout plan. No threshold or criteria used to initiate the lockdowns much less anything measurable used to end them. Which means they were enforced blindly. Just a knee jerk reaction that proved fatal in more ways than the virus itself.

Our safety guy at the time would reprimand and threaten to have non mask wearers fired.
ETA: Later he pushed for vaccination or termination ultimatum.

Here we have nearly all of the OT losing their mind over someone who may or may not be exposed to the virus leaving his home. This is why lockdowns were so easy to implement and so difficult to end. People don’t like to admit that they were treated as sheep and fell in line with no questions asked while attacking anyone who could see the mass hysteria taking place.
