They say that nothing is impossible, but that’s not true. I do nothing all the time.

The glass half empty or half full completlt depends on the time of reference. If you pour the glass to the halfway point it will always be half full. If you have a glass and drink it to the half way point it will always be half empty. Simple as!

All quite capable of compartmentalization

Pretty sure ...

McDonald's owns a % of the total fast food market. Golf courses own 100% of the total golf course market.

It is still a surprising fact. Most places I have lived have a lot more McDonalds than golf courses. My current home of Birmingham being an exception. Every small town has a McDonalds but not a golf course.

Why are we taught Euclidean Geometry at an early age Why are we not taught Lobachevskian geometry at that same early age? Major difference is the parallel postulate yet we keep teaching for an Earth and not preparing our youth for the Universe.

Unless you are dead, you constantly convert oxygen to carbon dioxide. If you did not do this, we have no plants, and with no plants, we would have no humans.

You may engage in sexual congress with a bowling ball?

I've taken more math and physics in my life than most people. As best as my tired brain can recall, this is the first ive ever heard of this. Light googling of the general concepts has me initially agreeing with you.

Eta: however - the average kid struggles with regular geometry. Two different geometry classes at once and youd see some epic failure.

What if there are small towns with a golf course and no corporate chain food like McDonalds or Burger King.

Perhaps the better question is, in the South, what is the Venn diagram for

Golf courses in town
&
Waffle House in same town

Do not think Sewanee has a McDonald's but they may have 1 or more golf courses. I know the next town (on one side) over has a Piggly Wiggly but don't think they have a McDonalds either. And pretty sure the next town on the other side has similar. That is just in the South.

Go up East or West and all those tiny Rich places that have many golf courses and not fast food.

Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there--on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam.

The Earth is a very small stage in a vast cosmic arena. Think of the rivers of blood spilled by all those generals and emperors so that, in glory and triumph, they could become the momentary masters of a fraction of a dot. Think of the endless cruelties visited by the inhabitants of one corner of this pixel on the scarcely distinguishable inhabitants of some other corner, how frequent their misunderstandings, how eager they are to kill one another, how fervent their hatreds.

Our posturings, our imagined self-importance, the delusion that we have some privileged position in the Universe, are challenged by this point of pale light. Our planet is a lonely speck in the great enveloping cosmic dark. In our obscurity, in all this vastness, there is no hint that help will come from elsewhere to save us from ourselves.

The Earth is the only world known so far to harbor life. There is nowhere else, at least in the near future, to which our species could migrate. Visit, yes. Settle, not yet. Like it or not, for the moment the Earth is where we make our stand.

It has been said that astronomy is a humbling and character-building experience. There is perhaps no better demonstration of the folly of human conceits than this distant image of our tiny world. To me, it underscores our responsibility to deal more kindly with one another, and to preserve and cherish the pale blue dot, the only home we've ever known.

OK, not a fan of Googly Moogly but I know that is the go to of youth today.

This is where I will agree to disagree.

#1 The ONLY universal language on Earth is math.

#2 We force USA kids to learn Spanish (a language of less use internationally, and behind English - US / UK version, in global science and global finance). If they can learn a second language at an early age, why not start filtering simple concepts of both types of geometry at the same age?

If you want a kid to read, teach them how long before they go to school

If you want to teach a kid math & physics, start it at home before the kids first day of school.

It is like modern education is teaching to fail (or just provide child care) or to pass state tests. Were is the expansion of mind and critical thinking skills coming from?

If the now-mother was nulligravida at the time of the conception coitus, and the father and mother have not engaged in coitus since that time, he would not be a motherfricker, at least vis-a-vis that mother.
