The idea that you must say a lot of nothing (aka buzzwords) in order to appear knowledgeable/successful/whatever has gotten ridiculous.

Speak like a regular person. It won't make you sound like an idiot if you're not already an idiot. In fact, most people who rely heavily on business buzzwords sound like morons anyway.

Get to the point and stop going in circles.

I think this is the general understanding by everyone involved.

The only reasom to use buzzwords is if the receiving audience is too ignorant to get the concept.

Let me show you a slidedeck about our mission statement and our department's core competencies

ETA - I spend a lot of time in meetings with corporate executives. I find it all kind of ridiculous too

When your linkedin profile starts out with 'strategic, dynamic, top-performing professional' and you haven't had a job in three years, maybe it's time to try another approach.

This has potential. Why don’t you and the team whiteboard this and get back to me.

Seems like interfacing with executives may be outside of your wheelhouse.

You sound like you haven’t collaborated enough with your team or used the proper resources at your disposal in order to develop the proper synergy to attack the adversity and challenges presented to you

We're going to need to examine this on a granular level to fully flesh it out.

At the end of the day
To the extent
Baked into the solution
Agile vs waterfall
Scrum Master
In my opinion
Deep dive
Lessons Learned
Flesh out the details
Offer line of sight
Causing me to be stressed
KPIs
Strategic thinking
Thought leadership
Business acumen
Increase shareholder value

THE word I never want to hear a grown adult say in the workplace which I fricking hear all the time: “basically”.

“Well, basically what we have is.....”. Remove that word from your vocabulary please.

Let’s think about this holistically. I think we need a re-group.

You need to leverage your capabilities if you are in a nimble matrix managed organization.
