Upvote for you, but this topic has been around forever. It’s just the buzzwords that change.

“Are you a team player?”

No, I’m not, frick you. Leave me alone and let me do my job in peace.

ETA: 9 times out of 10, what they really mean to say is:

“Please do this unnecessary thing or something that I should be doing instead, and make my job easier. I’ve got lunches & useless meetings where we all jerk each other off to attend. Thanks!”

I fricking hate the buzzwords. But some of them are just pounded into me day, after day, after day, until I find myself saying the damn thing, too.

For instance, I don't call/email/message people any longer...nowadays, I "reach out" to so and so. I hate myself.

Piggybacking from what Lawyered said, your idea would make a great action item under goal 75 of the strategic agenda

Let's discuss the buzzword culture of business

Diversity: The politically correct way to explain why you passed over the most qualified candidate without actually having to admit it was a race/gender related decision

Hey man I suggest we put a working group together to analyze the OP and well look at setting some reasonable but also ambitious milestones to maximize our efforts. I’ll get with you offline about putting the team together and setting a meeting to discuss options and paths forward to improving your posting style with lessons learned and best practices from past efforts.

My friend got a promotion to lean facilitator. We will not stop making fun of him. Ever.

We are at the corner of hope and destiny here

That bag has holes in it

Nail that one to the cross and let's move on.

The paint isn't even dry on that mural yet.

We can't listen to the footsteps outside our window

The FBI can shite in one hand and look for documents in the other and we'll see which hand fills up fastest

A little less talking and a lot more shredding here boys

They don't call them junk bonds for no reason
