The JETS are down 42-16 at the half.
I hope you were kidding and just making fun of me.

My concern is that a lot of personal income that could be spent to purchase good marijuana will be squandered betting on sports.

Let them rack up debt... the dem's will eventually bail them out

You can set limits on the sports apps. That way you can't go crazy.

I have around 23 great aunts. And there’s 4-5 of them that would blow their monthly income at casinos when they were in their 60s. This has been happening long before sports betting.

This can't be a serious post, can it?

I sound like DEBBIE DOWNER, then GOOD! A lot of lives have been ruined by the simple act of placing a first sports wager. I don't intend to continue to preach. Each of you will find out on your own, but I do wish you all the best of luck and hope that good decisions are made
Thank you.
I’m not sure why we needed sports betting if Mississippi had it. Seems like people who really wanted to do it would just drive there

Why would betting on sports be any different than video poker or casinos that have been open for almost 20 years in Louisiana??? Don’t agree with your logic.
He's probably not talking about retail sportsbook at the casinos. It is the apps that will grab the weak minded.

People are right when you say there's always been access to gambling. But heretofore you had to be proactive and look for it. This will bring it to people with a few touches of their phone screen, and it will be pushed hard; it already is. Marketing and advertising works. If it didn't, businesses of all kinds wouldn't spend billions of dollars on it. This Will bring in people who have never gambled before, and will turn others from occasional bettors to heavy bettors. Some, perhaps many, in both these groups will become problem gamblers.
How is this any different than alcohol? At least someone betting from a phone won’t kill me on the road VS than a drunk on his way home from the local gas station, picking up his 4th six pack of the night.

Anyone who wants to gamble already does. It’s widely available online already on offshore books

I'll be honest, I am just reading the entire post..
This is huge. I know it's a cliche saying, but don't bet more than you can lose. Don't chase on the Monday night games and don't get caught up in all of the prop bets.
Some things people will have to learn on their own, but if anyone is in a position where they are playing just to be in the game and spending more money than you can afford to do it.. Get help.

You don't understand that?
Some things people will have to learn on their own..
There are certain things, when it comes to gambling, that you will only learn through experience.
Does that make sense now?

I understand it just fine, I’m saying if you understood common sense all the time the world would be a better place. You think you can have it both ways and that time has long passed in this country.

This is why the King of Thailand banned betting there. Bc he knows his people have no self control and would gamble themselves into the poor house.

Right its 100% totally feasible for people in Lake Charles, Shreveport, etc to drive 5+ hours to place some sports bets

Ahhh yes...Thailand known by sex tourists and child predators the world over as the place to go. Definitely the beacon of morality.
