The best thing about casinos is they make you pay up front, where a bookie lets you go on credit. In a casino, you have to have the money to bet it.

Do you think people couldn't bet on sports in LA prior to this past weekend? I really hope you don't think that.

You know how many people have had serious health issues because of cigarettes? And how much health insurance has had to pay out because of cigarettes which has played a factor in health insurance to go up?

You know how many people have died because of a drunk driver?

Why would betting on sports be any different than video poker or casinos that have been open for almost 20 years in Louisiana??? Don’t agree with your logic.

Well, number 1 is that you can place bets on your phone right? I don't gamble but I heard you can do this now.

The legality of sports betting has never stopped someone from betting on sports

Meh. If that is the case, they would have been "destroyed" one way or another.

My cousin lost his family a decade ago at the casinos. I doubt this will really put many people over the edge. Most people were betting locally anyway.

This makes it exponentially more convenient, and gives it the legal seal of approval. The people have spoken, so be it. But let's be realistic about what this entails.
