Any other school minus Miss St and LSU. I won’t send my kids to Baton Rouge.

I would let him or her pick any of the 13. The student is more important than the school. All of the SEC schools are exceptionally equipped to offer a stellar education to an ambitious student
I agree. Who cares? Go where you want to go, kid. And my "child" would be an adult at that point, so godspeed. But if he or she went to Bama or Ole Miss, then don't bother coming home for Christmas. Jk, but don't expect me to go there.

My oldest wants to be an engineer, so either Florida or aTm. Maybe Auburn.

You can't answer this without knowing what they want to major in or where they would like to live later.

Am I likely in this situation. Have a kid who has been accepted to several and waiting on a few. Did not apply to TAMU or Tenn because she’s not interested. She will be accepted to all SEC schools applied to.
Of the tours made and follow ups as well as promises Alabama Honors College is by far the most enthusiastic. Bama rolled out the carpet recruiting. Scholarships, semesters abroad, dorm pick, even found a girl from our hometown to give her a personalized one on one tour. Vandy is second. She hated GA (boring) & FL (low energy) tours. USCe was too far and if she’s going that far might as well go Duke or UNC.

LSU for nostalgia but probably Florida or Georgia

FLorida is the highest ranked and NO WAY would they even consider going to Alabama.

The more Bama is throwing out money for big scholarships, the lower their academic rankings are going. Not sure why

Pretty sure they're the top academic school on a broad basis.

Depending on major
#1 Vanderbilt
#2 Florida
#3 Georgia
#4 Tulane*
#5 Georgia Tech* (if they had wrong nerd tendencies and they were male)
#6 Sewanee* (if they had a shot at writing)
#7 Texas A&M (if they were female I would sleep well knowing they were safe)
#8 LSU (mainly for the food)
#9 Any of the ag schools (including Missouri vet school)
#10 Ole Miss (fun to party at the grove until it is your daughter in the sundress drunk off her arse)
