It’s been a really long day. I’ll downvote myself.

Probably UGA.
Then aTm and Florida, in no order.

From an academics standpoint only 2 SEC schools crack the top 50.
Florida
Georgia

Where does the kid want to live afterward and what major? That matters much more then people give it credit for. If they wanted to move to Nashville, Kentucky and UT are not that bad of choice without Vandy. If Atl then uga and if Texas then Tamu.
Graduating with a prominent alumni basis in your preferred work area helps tremendously. It also helps because a lot of your school friends will likely stay close.

Agreed unless the major is in engineering. Then I would lean towards A&M.

No way would I ever allow any of my children to be indoctrinated into that cult of freaks.

I'd be happy with any school they chose, with a full scholarship. Except Alabama, Auburn, Ole Miss, MSU, TAMU, Arkansas, UF, UGA, UT, USC, Mizzou, or UK.

Uga due to good academics and a great college town.
Of course his/her chosen field of study would factor into the decision, but if all things are equal, it would be Georgia, hands down. It's academically well-respected, located in the best college town in the south, and only an hour from a major city with an international airport, so it would be easy to visit.

Plenty of people graduate from A&M without becoming weirdos who jizz into jars. Just like plenty of people graduate from LSU without their lives revolving around football.

That one will probably be too stupid to go to college.
