Related and off-topic: No Trespassing signs. It technically should just say Trespassing. Or YOU ARE TRESPASSING. or NO ENTRY. Or TRESPASSERS WILL BE SHOT.
Because if trespassing is allowed (YES you may trespass is a contradiction in terms), then it isn't trespassing.

Some things I’ve noticed over the years in my sphere:
Fat women in certain office environments go apeshit over “HIPPA” and think it governs everyone at all times. I figure it’s the only federal law they’ve heard of, so they are eager to demonstrate their knowledge.
Many people love to throw around “fraud” at every turn. When in doubt, it’s fraud.

I live in a nice area with little crime, but whenever someone’s car is broken into, the soccer moms on Nextdoor whip out their law degrees and say things like “it’s not breaking and entering if you left your door unlocked.”
Pretty funny to me since the law is called “burglary” where I live and leaving your car door unlocked doesn’t give a criminal the right to steal your shite.

I live near a small historic community. Those who live in that community believe it is illegal for anyone who doesn't live there to drive on the public roadways in their community. So much so, they try to stop you and call the police.
Sometimes I just go drive around it and act suspiciously. It pisses them off when the cops take 30 minutes to get there, then they just let me go.

Nah, it is just a nice area with a public boat launch that they hate is even there. I've known most of the folks who live there all my life. The transplants are the ones who like to dick with people.
