What kind of wall earthen or man-made?

Both. Levee and heavily enforced steel wall. May be hard to see from the pic but bigger than what it looks in the pics.

The weather channel has somehow managed to make this broadcast boring. Impressive.

Why don’t they drive around and show us what the hell happened?

I'm seeing alot of pictures and people commenting on Facebook that it's not good. Some areas got hit really hard. I have family that lives right off of Ryan Street behind Cici's and Jason's Deli, and those two places appear to have been destroyed.

Hopefully, but I sure like to freaking know.

Any reports from Jennings or Deridder?

Probably some mesovortices (small tornados). Rds or Duke can explain them, but in past storms this intense I believe there is documented evidence that they exist.

Or it could be bad or improper construction.

And full of Houston Asians 5 minutes after opening

Tilman is so leveraged I wouldn't be surprised. He has to keep it rolling to pay the creditors

I'm sure you know this, but a window AC unit and a generator can make the difference between misery and sleeping at night.

During Katrina and Gustav, I had a generator powering game room with AC unit, Fridge, freezer, and a few lamps/TV, etc. Having one comfortable room to go back to is a lifesaver. And the window unit is what makes it all work.

Just a suggestion if you don't have AC, might wanna grab one of those as well.

Hope your house escaped any major damage stout, let me know if you need anything. I still have a storage unit in LC, hoping it survived but not optimistic.

I’m waiting to hear from my brother in MB.

On his way home from the hospital, he had to dodge tress, medians, etc. found a lady standing on the sidewalk who said she’d been there ALL NIGHT and had no where to go. He went back to the hospital to bring her to get checked out — he didn’t know what else to do with her.

Still waiting on word about his home.
