Thanks for the link. Wanted to go to sleep early tonight but it’s not working. Gonna check out the link.

In 24 hours it went from a Cat 1 to basically a Cat 5. That is ridiculous.

70 mph winds at our vessle in sabine pass

Ugly. No break for eyewall to pass. Straight storms on “tougher” side of hurricane.

I’m settled into bed for the night. I’ll bounce between TD, my ring doorbell, and my pop’s weather station. I’ll post anything interesting here.

Very bad. North East quadrant of a hurricane is the worst.

Rum, so looks like landing just east of the TX/LA border? Gotta say, models were right on it for the last 48 hours.
Cameron has essentially been the center point for all NHC track shifts for the past 2 days.

That good, bad or ugly?
ugly with a capitol U-G-L-Y
get the worst weather of the storm without the short break provided by the eye

This is right about the time when I am sort of glad our DSLD house in Youngsville didn't work out.

Acadiana ambulance said they’ll stop at 35 mph winds.
That seems way way too low. 35mph isn’t going to topple an ambulance.

Yes

It happens. Hurricanes ramp up as fast as the conditions allow them. It's a positive feedback loop as long as there is little shear, warm enough water, and no dry air to get pulled in.

As a gust, it’s not. They stop at 35 sustained. Gusts would be upwards of 45 with that sustained wind

Well that's about worst case but is he right? IDK yet.

I have no clue. But his stream now is pretty fascinating.

My brother texted from the hospital in LC asking to pray for a direct hit to LC as opposed to being in the east side. Not working.
