Weather.com is telling me 37 MPH winds outside in Baton Rouge right now. I went outside and there's barely a breeze. They suck so hard during hurricanes.

Can someone explain the pressure to me like I’m 12? I gather that the lower the pressure the worse the storm, but why? What does 937 mb really mean
