as a native of Patterson I feel slightly disrespected.

Parents are heading up to Kansas to combine evacuating with a visit. ANyone in the impact area be safe and smart. If you don't have a safe structure to be in get out. This won't be the one to play with.

Wyndam Garden off McArthur west side.

We have family in Dallas we might can get too if the hotel stays without power for too long.

If the house is ok in Westlake were going to head back I think. I tried getting a spot by a hospital and by main roads that won't have trees.

What's your opinion? I know nothing of the area. I tried looking for hotels with backup Generator from Google maps and didn't see one.

There was a story somewhere...that apparently he took his whole crew to eat at a restaurant maybe in Wilmington/Wrightsville, and was a dick and literally left without paying I believe..so my original post wasn’t entirely accurate.

The weather channel just showed a live look of the I 10 traffic jam leaving Lake Charles. Why have they not instituted contraflow? Didn’t we spend hundreds of millions of dollars on that interstate infrastructure for this specific reason?

Was it really a live look? Traffic maps are showing all green.

You're not far from Rapides (I'd advise against that though) and can take large roads to Cabrini if you need. You're in a solid spot for that.

90% of people from the area don’t even know Andrew is a place.

The outflow expanding to the north with an already healthy southern outflow channel.

What kind of contraflow setup do they have in that area, if one at all? Any good options north other than 171 or 165?

None today. That's the problem. Someone fricked up badly.

My co worker(not very tech savvy) has family that lives by St Thomas More high school in Lafayette.

Is that a spot that should evacuate north or east? Or is that a supplies and stay inside area?

Yes they did.

If you’re in LC proper, now you’re hoping for a due south impact or anything east of that (as far as plausible options go) The western eye wall is no joke, but it’s 30 or more mph slower winds than the eastern eyewall.
