Egg,

You know John Ngyuen, class of 2008?

If so, call his arse and tell him to get out of LC. He told me he knew you a year or so ago. That’s why I’m saying this

I offered for him to stay with me, but I think he wants to ride this thing out, even knowing it’s a CAT4 possibility

Thanks DPH. No trees in close proximity, got generator and what not. Our electricity will be slow to be restored but once it’s passed after clean up I can then go to my sons house. Heck maybe I’ll go to visit my daughter at school.

That makes no sense to me.

The storm surge has the potential to be as bad as they've ever seen there.

Some stubborn people have death wishes... that or they’ve never seen what the hand of God in the form of a hurricane can do. Stuck around for Katrina.... never again.

Storm won't just be able to strengthen unabated all the way until landfall.

Shear and shallower water are your best bet to slow it down.

I was planning on staying but looking at the growth from last night my fat arse is rolling out. Cat 4 is a bit more than I want to contend with.

Smart man, it isnt worth risking. I know it sucks to leave everything you have worked for and not knowing what you will come back too but this is a very possible life and death situation.

The New Orleans posts, particular one that asks if the storm could turn NE and hit New Orleans, deserve a little flak.
