GFS is about 15 miles west of the 18z run

Puts LC in the northern and eastern eyewall. LC needs this to go about 50 miles west or east of that track to avoid very serious problems.

BR and east is a good plan.

I was gonna head home to check out the storm if it took a Gustav path but staying in Monroe will probably get me a better weather ride than going to BR.

Lets say you're dead center between Lafayette and BR...

The idiots called off today even though I told them not to. Now they aren't going to want to shut for the actual storm.

BR is never a good plan for anything other than a football game

BR looks way better than Shreveport at this point.

Not worried about the house in Westlake as it won't get damage unless it's a hurricane.

Starting to lean that way too. I just worry about a jog East. Tomorrow will solidify our plans

Weather threads have about a 20 minute per hour shelf life. Advisories come out - 10 minutes per anticipation and 10 minutes of interpretation and rebuttal and then South she goes.

if they aren't really all in on Houston tomorrow, Considering it's going to hook back east after landfall,
i'd just go to Houston...Westside or NW Houston suburbs, much shorter drive and easier to get back in after.

Concur, primarily because it’s Least likely to have major travel problems on the way there or back.

IDK, some dude told us about having sex with a non-consenting horse. Hard to find that quality anywhere else.
