if they aren't really all in on Houston tomorrow, Considering it's going to hook back east after landfall, i'd just go to Houston...Westside or NW Houston suburbs, much shorter drive and easier to get back in after.

I’ve seen models move that way and too many “meteorologists” say there’s a slight chance she could head that way. The last thing I want to deal with is Houston chaos.

Shreveport is 5 hours inland. It’ll be rough for a little bit but it won’t be what we get down here.

The problem with Houston is it’s a more likely place for the storm to error as of now, plus it’s a frick ton of people who may also be nervous.
You don’t want to be on the roads will all the Orange County and other folks who went west.

Shreveport is worse than Houston or BR IMO. You’re obviously in the direct line of the storm as of now, plus your entire travel journey home is contingent on open roads through the path of what may be a major hurricane.

As I mentioned above, I’m going to Katy 10/10
times vs Shreveport as of now.

The problem with Houston

I feel like people need to go through rds's posts from today and tonight. Then think about if Houston is all that great of a call to evacuate to.

Serious question: should I be leaving Lafayette? I’m thinking no but I haven’t even considered leaving

That's the thing, getting back in, much easier getting back in from the West, than coming back 10 from Lafayette or like you said north from S'port will be difficult to get back in to LC

Going to consider all this tomorrow in the morning. Idk if we will have time to find the rooms we need. I’m not the only one making decisions in this group. There’s more than just my wife and my kids.

I wouldn't unless you live in a mobile home or have a forest of water oaks surrounding your house. At least assuming there isn't an unexpected east shift.
