Why do they keep showing Marco moving west? How is that happening?

That looks to be pretty old.

They've been pretty bullseye on Beaumont to Vermillion since yesterday.

Because the center of circulation is moving westward. All of the storms are just displaced way northeast of it.

I've noticed the Euro has consistently been far east or far west compared to the models in a lot of runs these past few days. It hasn't really performed well but I wouldn't ignore it.

Models definitely shifted East on the 7PM run
Very interesting, we are not out of the woods yet boys.
So 10PM is a big update and then which is the next one after that?

Recon confirms the center of #Laura is now inland over Western Cuba. Once it emerges over the Gulf of Mexico, we will watch to see how long it takes a core to build. Synoptic and oceanic conditions favor rapid intensification if the structure is there.

Does that mean it was farther north than they originally thought like someone said a few pages ago?

That looks like the model from either yesterday or the day before.
Something I haven't seen anyone talking about is the ridge over Florida...is it possible that builds much stronger to the west over Louisiana? That seems like a very strong possibility since Marco just completely fizzled out before it even hit land. The models were way more aggressive with Marco and their interaction with the ridge. If anything wouldn't that allow the ridge to push further west which may force Laura more into more a westerly track? that seems like it's on the table but I guess we'll see.
rds? duke? anyone want to chime in on that ridge over florida?
