The Germans in WWII took France in a month and a half, and their half of Poland in a month and a week.
The Soviet Union took their half of Poland in two weeks in 1939.
This is “dragging on” by blitzkreig standards

There won't be any serious negotiations. Russia will totally eliminate the Ukrainian military.
Look at this guy. No background in international politics or security policy, no military background, has never left the US.
But he is absolutely certain of the above.
That's like me walking in to a civil engineering firm and telling them they're all wrong and all their buildings will collapse in a week because of it, with no background in engineering.
Then after they don't collapse, I just tell them it will be a few more weeks. But they will still certainly collapse.

Russian Guided Weapons Miss the Mark, U.S. Defense Officials Say
The official also said that sanctions and export controls established after Russia invaded Ukraine had limited Moscow’s access to the kinds of electronic components it needed to build guided weapons, thus affecting Putin’s ability to restock his military with modern aerial munitions.
Russia’s lack of guided weapons, and their often poor accuracy when used, offers more indications of just how far behind Moscow’s armed forces are compared with Western militaries.

Putin's actual puppet in Belarus, Lukashenko, admits the war is "dragging on" beyond expectations, but user Stidham8 assures us that everything is going exactly to plan.
Turns out Lukashenko is just another victim of Western propaganda. Sad.

It will drag on for a while. Probably years. The US is dumping endless weapons into the war prolonging it.
It'll end up as much of a success as Afghanistan, Vietnam, and Iraq.

Like I said earlier, he makes more excuses for the Russians than they make for themselves.

That's basically the Kremlin line.
There is another documentary, Winter On Fire that gives the perspective of the Euromaidan protestors. You've said you don't believe propaganda and yet you've decided Oliver Stone who is echoing the Kremlin perspective is reliable.
I haven't seen that I will watch it.
You should. It is really good. Not just the information present but the way it is put together. It won best documentary at the 2015 Toronto Film Festival and it should have won the Academy Award for Best Documentary that year but the elite Hollywood ppl who decide those kind of things gave the award to a film about Amy Winehouse. The fact that Hollywood did not give an award to a film about the Maiden movement proves that the Maiden movement was not started by the CIA or the Obama State Department. Hollywood was so in love with Obama that if it had been a result of the Obama administration anything to do with the Maiden revolution would have won award after award from Hollywood.
Also got some bad news for you baw.

Unconfirmed but solid reports that Ukrainian troops have reached the Russian border to the North-East of Kharkiv near the town of Ternova. Today the UAF General Staff announced that Russian troops have withdrawn across the border. This unconfirmed news makes that seem more likely
Ukraine has driven Russia back to its border. Ukrainian force are likely to be within artillery range of Vovchansk which is on the main lines of communications between Russian forces in Izyum and Russia's logistics hub of Belogrod in the next 24 hours. At that point Russia will have to send its supply convoys on a 150+ km detour over two lane Russian roads which are not built to carry the weight of Russian equipment to keep the Russian forces on the Izyum axis of advance supplied. Since the Izyum axis of advance has ground to a halt and Ukrainians are finding intact Russian tanks abandoned because they are out of fuel in that area of the front; I do not see any scenario how a 150+ km detour does not cost Russia.

You might want to check RT for your updated talking points. That talking point expired about two weeks ago.

It looked like it would be a quick victory early on but it became pretty clear that it would go on for a while after they pulled out of Kyiv.
They're advancing in the Southeast at a pretty steady rate now.

Ukraine does not even need the NATO supplied artillery to shell any supply convoy coming through Vovchansk. It has both soviet rocket and tube artillery pieces that have the range. I can't wait to see the explosions from a Russian fuel wagon or truck carrying ammo get hit by a 203 mm shell.

It's pretty clear that they're withdrawing out of the Kharkiv region to focus on the Southeast where they're having major success.

Success means something different here though, for US political interests. As far as the US is concerned, if Russia gets bled dry trying to wage this war, even if Russia “wins” so does the US…. without one US “normal” troop being involved.
International money is going to be pouring into US defense companies soon enough (which also means tax dollars originating from outside the US). This whole thing is a giant commercial for US weapons superiority.

If having such major success down there, then why do they need the troops to reinforce them?!
You are a looney tune.

You mean on the Kherson front? The only direction that Russia has moved on the Kherson front in the last month has been away from Mykolaiv and falling back to Kherson.

Yampil, Izium, and Popasna. That appears to be the focus of their entire operation at the moment.
The green circles are the significant fighting areas.

It is a huge failure for the US if the current puppet government falls to the Russians and they annex Ukraine or install their own puppet government.
