I'm not sure what that has to do in the slightest with the level of corruption of the United States government or the corruption of Ukraine.

You equated the US with Russia, and it's nowhere near the same.

Only someone who has no actual experience outside his own little bubble would even utter something so ludicrous.

Just as ludicrous as saying the US is the most racist nation on the planet.

You and progressives are two sides of the same coin.

We've got a better economic system but that has nothing to do with shady political leaders and government institutions that for decades have used their power to infiltrate other countries and corrupt and overthrow their governments.

You continue to express your naivety with every post. Please watch the Oliver Stone documentaries for the truth on what went on in Ukraine in 2014 and beyond.

It appears that the goal of Stidham8 is to monopolize and derail any actual discussion of the war and inject all the pro-Russo propaganda he/she/it can muster. I vote we stop responding to him. It's a waste.

I'd just like to have a few of you watch the documentaries and get back to me. It's comedy hour around here with everyone defending Ukraine and the United States like they're morally correct in what they've done in the region. And I'm not defending Russia, they're evil too.

Pure products of propaganda. I bet several in this thread have Ukrainian flags on their front porch.

Centinel is right. Eastern Europeans don't believe this because they live it day in and day out. They don't trust the Russians. The Estonians, Latvians, and Lithuanians are mortgaging themselves to the hilt to support the Ukrainians because they actually have skin in the game.

The Finns just a few minutes ago voted out of their defense committee the recommendation to join NATO.

You say you don't believe propaganda yet you believe Oliver Stone over the first people who'd be taking the brunt of a Russian attack.

do you pray to oliver Stone before you go to bed? i like the guy on some things but he's irretrievably broken due to his Vietnam experience. Rest assured that if/when China invades Taiwan, Stone, Greenwald, the Poliboard, etc will start posting youtubes about how Taiwan is actually the evil, fascist, racist country.

You can't talk about the war without talking about what sources are reliable.

Stone did the research into what actually happened in 2014 and afterwards. It's corrupt as shite what the United States did. It's not the first time they've done it either.

You want me to get the truth from a documentary directed by a Putin supporter, that interviews Putin, Yanukovych, and Zakharchenko (the swell guy who was removed from office for signing a decree to use live ammunition on protestors) to explain why what happened in 2014?

And you sit there and call me naive? And that I'm falling for propaganda?

You're so caught up in your bubble of propaganda that you refuse to watch anything that refutes your narrative.

That's all I need to know. Sad, really.

That's basically the Kremlin line.

There is another documentary, Winter On Fire that gives the perspective of the Euromaidan protestors. You've said you don't believe propaganda and yet you've decided Oliver Stone who is echoing the Kremlin perspective is reliable.

Nope. Do they talk about how Russia tried to poison and kill Viktor Yuschenko?

That’s always true.

Politics is a factor, Kiev doesn’t want to give up territory, because it could jeopardize western aid. That compels the UA to defend positions even when they become untenable.

For the soldiers in Lischansk and Severodonetsk it’s probably just too late. The Russians cut their MSR. And there isn’t a road out at this point.

I also believe the Ukrainians would be very reluctant to leave their prepared defenses in Kramatorsk and Sloviansk. What is your next line of defense?
