I’m sure this has been discussed in this thread… but does anyone here think it’s possible that the most recent footage of civilians killed execution style could really have been staged like Russia claims?
Yes it could be staged, but it’s highly unlikely. The journalists in the ground were reporting that the bodies had started to smell. An educated eye can see in some of the pictures that the bodies are swollen. That means they have been decomposing for over 5 days. Even though not winter there anymore but it still early spring in eastern europe so it’s cold enough there to slow decomposition. So if Ukraine did stage it they would have to bring bodies in from somewhere else. They couldn’t just kill civilians after the Russians left like the Russians are claiming.

First confirmation I've seen of the 600 model being sent over...
The Pentagon plans to order and send to Ukraine 10 of the newest model Switchblade drones armed with tank-busting warheads in addition to previously announced deliveries of a less powerful version, according to two people familiar with the decision.
The new Switchblade-600 weapons are part of $300 million in lethal military assistance announced by the Pentagon Friday night that will be contracted directly from industry instead of drawn from existing stocks, according to the people, who asked not to identified discussing the plan.

It’s not staged. It’s probably legit war crimes with the only other real option being that the Russians just left their own dead to rot during their retreat. The reported mass graves could absolutely be dead Russian soldiers.

I hope that number is wrong. The switchblade is a one and done deal.

I suppose, but I saw a few pics of some people half-buried. They were all in civilian clothes. Not saying that is irrefutable proof, but I don't see the surviving Russians stripping their comrades of their gear/clothing and then going through the trouble of redressing their dead bodies.

I haven’t seen the pictures and have no plans to look at them.

I saw them before Twitter put the "sensitive material" tag on them. I'm not sure I would have looked otherwise.

Remarkable footage of a single UA T-64BV tank engaging a Russian convoy, destroying a BTR-82A from an ambush position. Though other shots miss, appears that this held up the convoy enough for UA indirect fire to strike it, taking out other armour & leading to a retreat.

The positive: Russia losing assets
The negative: a lone tank engaging in an ambush

They were apparently digging trenches in the highly radioactive soil around the ghost forests of Chernobyl.
I read an article about this today. It was written by someone who's been there in the past. The mere act of digging post holes for a fence produces unacceptable radiation. The act of digging and trenching for cover for an army exposes them to lethal doses of radiation. And he said some slept in those bunkers. He also said the world will never know how many Russian soldiers will die as a result of this.

The Russians were just spraying and praying. That Ukrainian tank is lucky to still be alive, assuming it still is.

Depends on which side wins the upcoming war.

With how cheap, effective and simple things like the javelin and switchblade are, I sure hope our guys are working on something to counter them for our infantry and armor units.

Both soft and hard kill active protection systems have been in development since the 80s. Isreal does them best, I think they are primarily hard kill systems. The best solution is having a multilayered protection net that doesn't allow your armor to roll into an ambush.
One of the problems with developing the active protection systems is they have to be fairly specific to the threat in today's world there are more countries building NLAWs and the like so the threats are more varied and thus makes it harder to produce a single system to defeat them all.

First of all, frick you for making me go back and look at the pictures but why do you guys just make shite up? I see people on their backs, burned to a crisp, stuffed in drains, intestines hanging out. Have you even seen the pics?
You're "just asking questions", right.
exactly. just asking questions but yet russia releases an article claiming everyone in the world who supports ukraine independence is a nazi and all nazis must be exterminated.
but yea its a false flags.
idiots man.

Not afraid of this upcoming war. I'm afraid of the NEXT war.
Russia is going to take a HARD look at itself after this war and make sweeping changes in their military structure.
God help the world if an ultra nationalist Russia actually learns how to fight a modern war.

Served its purpose. They stopped the column and called in an artillery strike on stationary/mobility restricted targets

Already in place. And the Israelis have a battle-tested system that took out multiple ATGMs during the 2014 thing with Hamas in Gaza.
