Closed Western Stores in Russia, but not Burger King.
Suggestion - OK BK (and all related brands), no more of you in any Americaan bases since you are helping feed our enemy.

Sorry, but I disagree with this. Closing retail outlets only hurts Russian civilians and does nothing to impact Putin or his cabal.

Correct me if I’m wrong but it was my understanding that Russia has veto power so can effectively stop any resolution like that from going to the General Assembly in the first place, since a charter change would require all 5 votes of the permanent members of the security council.
It’s been a while since I had to do anything with UN law, but I didn’t think there was any way this could happen. Am I wrong?

Welp there are 2 options. Assassinate Putin which is a war crime or place trade restrictions that hurt everyone and are not an act of war.
I believe the Burger King is able to operate because they are likely supplying their own goods and the stores are franchise owned by a Russian.

I mean is there any other argument they can make to even attempt to save face?
They could call it isolated incidents that they deny but that they intend to prosecute if they find out it was their soldiers who did it?
Problem is the crimes happened during Russian control and weren't discovered until the Russians fled. Also there are living witnesses.

Yesterday, RIA Novosti published a lengthy piece titled "What Russia should do with Ukraine", which explains in detail what Russia understands by denazification. It's truly horrific: 1/6 LINK

The special operation revealed that not only the political leadership in Ukraine is Nazi, but also the majority of the population. All Ukrainians who have taken up arms must be eliminated - because they are responsible for the genocide of the Russian people. 2/6 LINK
quote:
Ukrainians disguise their Nazism by calling it a "desire for independence" and a "European way of development". Ukraine doesn't have a Nazi party, a Führer or racial laws, but because of its flexibility, Ukrainian Nazism is far more dangerous to the world than Hitler's Nazism 3/6 LINK
quote:
Denazification means de-Ukrainianisation. Ukrainians are an artificial anti-Russian construct. They should no longer have a national identity. Denazification of Ukraine also means its inevitable de-Europeanisation. 4/6 LINK
quote:
Ukraine's political elite must be eliminated as it cannot be re-educated. Ordinary Ukrainians must experience all the horrors of war and absorb the experience as a historical lesson and atonement for their guilt. 5/6 LINK
quote:
The liberated and denazified territory of the Ukrainian state should no longer be called Ukraine. Denazification should last at least one generation - 25 years. Then the author goes on to detail exactly what needs to be done: LINK 6/6 LINK

There’s the little problem of rape torture and execution videos circulating as well. As well there are videos/captured audio of these crimes in the planning stage and bragging about committing these crimes.

And they will. It’s inevitable.

I’m starting to notice downvotes on my posts. I’m starting to think my info is unappreciated lol

So would I. But we are starting to hear the explanation in Russia that the genocide is intentional. (See the posts on the previous page.) At a certain point, Europe will have to get involved. The Russians aren't making sideline sitting any easier with this crap.

You're damn sure going to get them now. First rule of TigerDroppings is never ask about why you're getting downvotes.

BK should be free to operate with assumed great security risk if they want. They’re not feeding the Russian troops, they’re feeding the hungry civilians who didn’t ask for the war.
There’s thousands of fast food franchises in China who’s Holocausting Uighur Muslims. Locations in Saudi Arabia. South Africa. Are you standing up for them too?

That is farking sick. If this kind of thinking has any common acceptance, the Russians are a larger threat to the world than I realized.

Maybe I’ll take a break, last couple days have been hard. Dear friends back in Europe are wanting to talk and I’ve been listening but this isn’t a sustainable way for me to let off steam or anxiety about what’s happening in Ukraine. I’m just glad I’m on nothing but Facebook and this board for social media.
