Buryn is the hub for their retreat. Has a railroad out of dodge.
If the Russians use the RR inside Ukraine to retreat that would be an incredibly dense target. Take out the track or engine and the entire consist would be like a broken duck in a shooting gallery just sitting there begging you to shoot it.

Well, those guided artillery shells have to be laser guided by a spotter. I guess the spotter can see if he will be able to keep a target targetted during its movement, but I think most of them are targetted on a still target. (thats a lot of targetting there).

I have no idea. To Putin’s credit, he does a very good job of surrounding himself with not only yes men, but men that aren’t popular. He has buffered himself from any coup attempt very well. I haven’t been in Moscow since 2013 and back then, Russians were more concerned with Metallica’s latest album than they were politics

Between a government of toadies and a military short a large handful of generals, I'm struggling to see how Russia keeps rhe wheels turning indefinitely.
Putin may have solidified himself as the cornerstone of his government, but he eliminated a lot of brainpower in doing so.

The cornerstone of a government is worthless when the nation starts crumbling. There will be nothing left for him to govern

I'm searching for a link to some background.
Someone had posted about an official who is the granddaughter of an expelled dignitary.
Long shot, I know.
Any help?

Be more specific? Who is the official the grandaughter or grandfather? What else?

Hell I feel old for rocking BDUs then ACUs. Although I did have the OEF multicam prior to it becoming standard OCP. I was out soon after.
My 2009 OEF deployment to NE Afghanistan we got issued multicam. Never rocked BDU’s but ACU’s throughout my entire enlistment.

I was already out by the time ACUs were available. Still have one BDU top and a field jacket I never wore my entire enlistment.

Hell, I wish I could. It was a quick reference I saw on here a week or more ago. Caught my attention, but didn't take note of the names or other pertinent info.
An important international official with a gripe at Russia for expelling her grandfather?
Probably a lost cause.

The Ukies were trained by NATO for the better part of a decade. So I would assume that they would be able to keep a laser on a target. Plus doesn’t the TB2 have the ability to track targets with a laser?

If it doesn’t, it at least has the capability to give accurate grid coordinates for gps guided artillery rounds, but I don’t know if Ukraine has those or not.

Technically NBC is old school (which I am) and has been replaced by CBRN with the R being radiological.
When I was in ROTC, we were still on the NBC train. I remember some crusty old master chief in our Celestial Navigation class giving us the "GAS!!" hand signals as he droped is own chemical weapon at the front of the class room. We were puzzled at first and then BAM! I just felt bad for those guys on the front row.
And with a straight face he said, "Come on men straighten up, this is TRAINING environment!!"

This guy has been a huge surprise to me-considering he was doing dick jokes 3 years ago to put food on the table he’s really been a leader for the Ukies

I’ll be shocked if they do. They will suffer more than anyone from this. Germans will go without electricity if they do. There’s no quick alternative given our own domestic weakness in energy policy and OPEC is not jumping in to significantly make up supply deficits.

You pay now or you pay later. Ask Neville Chamberlain.
