I see these numbers as the confirmed lower bound. It’s also lagging data. That’s why I wonder what the real number is right now.
From that site.

This list only includes destroyed vehicles and equipment of which photo or videographic evidence is available. Therefore, the amount of equipment destroyed is significantly higher than recorded here. Small arms, munitions, civilian vehicles, trailers and derelict equipment (including aircraft) are not included in this list. All possible effort has gone into discerning the status of equipment between captured or abandoned. Many of the entries listed as 'abandoned' will likely end up captured or destroyed. Similarly, some of the captured equipment might be destroyed if it can't be recovered. ATGMs and MANPADS are included in the list but not included in the ultimate count. The Soviet flag is used when the equipment in question was produced prior to 1991.

Why does it have to be $$$ to help the Ukrainians fight fascist Russians, or $$$ for the border? Someone can support Ukraine and support securing the southern border. I guess that is too hard of a concept for a moron like you to comprehend.

Is “drastically reducing hostilities” the new “mostly peaceful protests”?
What a hilarious way to rephrase the word retreat.

Keep in mind $$$ to Ukraine is form of equipment. The equipment is manufactured in the US, and the actual cash flow is from Gov’t to Defense Contractors and the American manufacturing sector.
So: In exchange for money that is actually being spent on the US manufacturing sector, we get to help a crew of non-US soldiers give one of our main adversaries a black eye, and potentially give another main adversary (China) a bit of pause before moving in on Taiwan and throwing the global chip market into a real panic.
I find this much less objectionable that spending on $$$ on promoting gender equality in Egypt or many of other shoe horned pet causes that end up in these bills.

Exactly. People hate on the military industrial complex and rightfully so, but if we can force Russia into collapse, we will negate about 1/4 of the necessity of our military spending. Meaning we can spend it on something more directly beneficial to us instead of defending a bunch of European socialists.
