I was reading that thread earlier today talking about destroying Russia economically, and then negotiating with the cops and regional elites. Was an interesting read.

The New York Times is now actively calling for nuclear war, just saying “Well it would just be a few little nuclear bombs, so whatevs!” Christ, anyone who remembers the beginning of the Iraq War not getting similar vibes of their excuses for invading Iraq for the WMDs?
You seriously need to take a Xanax or two.

Field sanitation is no joke and if Russia puts the same effort into it as they put into logistics, they're probably seeing outbreaks of lice and trenchfoot by now. Dysentery, cholera, etc. may not be far behind.

I would consider going over to help if I could drive an ambulance and get jaundice. Maybe impregnate a beautiful nurse, escape to Switzerland.

None really. But if all the usual suspects are saying all the same things im going the other way
You really think that’s a fool proof plan? And you do get your info from somewhere given how certain you are about some topics.

Seems like you want to debate what news sources i trust and the length of my posts. Doesnt seem like you are serious
Are you really going to ask me if I’m being serious considering the tone of your posts? You’ve been laughing at almost everything posted
Do you even know how debating or rebuttal works? You see something you disagree with and give your explanation as to why you think it’s wrong. You however don’t. You just laugh. How’s someone supposed to debate that? So instead you ask me to debate anything. Ok fine give me your take on Putin’s motives and do you think Russia can win this?
I’ll ask you again, can you the next time you post respond seriously? Like the next time you see a comment you disagree with on here, respond back with an actual short rebuttal instead of just throwing an insult? Are you capable of that?

Your posts are some of the most vapid on this site, which, in a way, is quite an accomplishment.
90% of SDVTiger's content is drive-by high five comments designed to garner upvotes and drive his dopamine high in his usual echo chambers. He claims to not have time to actually form and type coherent arguments yet he has 60k posts that are nothing more than backslapping that if he were not so me-centric he could have simply done with an upvote or downvote.
He is the type that if they were given nothing but raw facts would have a panic attack not knowing what to make of them until he could get to his favorite circle jerk and be told how to think. He fancies himself a critical thinker but is just a regurgitator.

Yeah, I don't understand this.
Upvotes are nice, but if I'm actually trying to argue a point on here, whether politically, socially, or on sports and entertainment, I usually view downvotes as a good indicator that I'm more correct in my line of thinking.
Hell, I once got downvoted to oblivion for pointing out that Bobby Jindal was the worst Governor this state has ever seen and left a totally fricked up situation for the next guy to try and fix, so I was willing to give JBE a pass on his first term, where things were improving.
I won't defend his second term.

Seems like hes a wild guy
Could be he doesnt like heels Zelensky getting close to nato. Maybe hes taking over areas that have things he wants. Maybe hes just crazy
I have no idea if they can win.
Just not sure why we are involved in this in any way and why so many on here are all good with it
You would think we would want to focus on our own house

So you don't know shite, because you refuse to believe any info you are exposed to. And therefore, you cannot educate yourself on anything because of your belief that every thing is propaganda.
Yet you come on here and attempt to ridicule everyone else for their positions, which they have arrived at through their research of the matter.
You are an ignorant person who vigorously strives to remain ignorant. That doesn't make you intelligent, it makes you stupid.

This is so on-brand for you. You have to be told what a person's motives are by a third party. You can't divine them like humans have been doing for millennia. Every move Putin has made over the last 20 years has been for money and power. If you need someone else to explain that to you I hope you are in a group home so someone can remind you to eat and wipe your arse.

It is the first month of war in Eastern Europe. It is a time of both courage and despair for Ukraine. Once bustling modern cities are depopulating as 3.5 million refugees flee to the safety of the West. Yet the Ukrainian Army continues to astound the world with its tenacity and chutzpah. Their general counter-offensive continues as the Russian Army, broken down, tries to rebuild its cohesion. There are intense see-saw battles northwest of Kyiv where the Russians appeared to be digging entrenchments. The Russians seem far from strangling out that proud European capital.
There have been few substantial Russian advances elsewhere as Mariupol remains as an inexorable thorn in Putin’s side. Logistically the Russians can’t encircle and pinch out the Ukrainian Army in the Donbas until Mariupol is taken. The Russians have given an ultimatum to the city to surrender or else. What that “else” is anybody’s guess because the deadline to surrender has already passed. Nobody knows how many civilian dead there are because there are no reporters in Mariupol to find out anymore.
The air campaign has expanded to include Russian bombing of industrial targets, including foundries and mills. Their products are so far upstream the supply chain that it would take weeks for their output to be componentized into products with military application. It is another indicator that the Russians are playing the long game. The Russians have also employed a crude hypersonic weapon that is impossible to intercept.
The Russians have also stepped up their game in the use of drones supporting airstrikes and bombardments. The Russian public is starving to know that something is going right about this war. Footage of drone strikes are an easy confirmation of their hopes. They’ll never see the bedlam of burnt out and abandoned vehicles slashed with their “Z,” or the the humiliating sight of their tanks hauled off by tractors. The Russian public is now shrouded over from the truth of the world by their own government. They didn’t look particularly enthusiastic at Putin’s latest war rally, though a government “poll” said that 68% of them wanted to invade Poland.
North of Ukraine lies Belarus, a vassal state of Putin’s empire. Its leader, “Gru” Lukashenko is a sycophantic dictator ruling from the city of Minsk. So far he has been wise to stay out of the war, but only because Putin relents. Yet worrying movements of the Belarussian army are underway, their vehicles marked with an ominous red square. If Lukashenko decides to join the war, his second-rate army will attack south across the great Pripyat Marshes towards Lviv. That city is a vital transshipment point for inbound NATO weapons. But I am not so certain they will get there given all I’ve seen. It could all be a diversion to draw off already thin Ukrainian forces from the Russian effort.
Meanwhile Xi Jinpang continues to mull over his phone call with Joe Biden with no change in China's public stance. Zelensky, that lion of Ukraine, faces a dilemma himself if the Russians are serious about negotiating. What would he be willing to give up, and what would he inflexibly demand at the table? Zelensky’s ominous but hyperbolic reply was that if these negotiations fail, it will mean World War Three. Before I shrugged, the President of the United States warned the private sector to prepare for a looming possibility of a cyberwar with the Russian Federation. A world war doesn’t have be kinetic, or atomic for that matter. Considering the almost complete financial, economic, commercial and social war the West is already waging on Russia, we could already be in one. Let’s hope this is the worst this world war gets.

Whoever wrote that piece is OML level dramatic. Russian propaganda looks upon western media with envy.

I said this way back on page 123:
quote:
Read somewhere that these reinforcement lines are why the Russian casualties are being reported as so high.
The Ukrainians appear to be allowing the initial waves to move through, and attacking the logistical support moving in after them, cutting off the supply lines.
If true, then the Russians are screwed.
Well, you don't have to be a West Point grad to figure out that's what they were gonna do. I was talking about two specific highways they are using from their staging areas in the NE of the country that go between heavily fortified Ukrainian positions.
They either can't make any successful assaults on those positions to secure the routes, or worse, they haven't tried and just thought they could drive right by all the way to Dnipro. Either way, it has shown that the only thing the Russians are capable of is encircle big cities near the border and shell them to the ground.
