It is true at the moment.

The older leaders of the Sunni Arab states were opposed to the idea of a Jewish state in the region... Iran was ruled by Shah Pahlavi in their time, a secular leader who added his Persian population into their concept of Arab Nationalism, and wanted to have a modern, Westernized country. They were annoyed when he was deposed, but Iran was just a nuisance, and they saw Israel as much worse and never acceptable.

The seizure of the Grand Mosque in Mecca in 1979 caused a lot of things to happen in the aftermath. Saudi royal family's legitimacy is about protecting this. When Saudi forces couldn't retake it, French provided a special tear gas so they could, and French were involved in retaking it. As a result, the Saudi royal family had more fundamental crackdown and gave the Imams more money to keep its lucrative position. Jihad got more money everywhere.

Great post, the reality is that the Sunnis have decided they can live with the Jews, who are their bothers under Abraham anyway, but have had enough of Shiite Muslims or shite Muslims as we used to call them. The are basically a poor minority religion that has never been anything but a problem since its inception. They are just disruptive assholes and have nothing to do with any God. Their real leaders are the fallen angels so they are cursed by God.

Iran, like Russia and Barron, are living on borrowed time and will soon all just be an unpleasant memory.

God is great!

Now we know the valid reason that 20,000 Patriot Missile proximity fuses were sent to Israel instead.

I'd say general anxiety over things, but the administration did not know in advance about Israel's plan, apparently

Well, that's kind of the answer to the confusing question "how did some in the Saud family come to fund Al Qaeda, whose goal was to overthrow the Saud family?" As well as "why did life in Saudi Arabia for women get so regressive in the 80s?" The reality is that the Saud family is robbing the country blind, living at the top of the Global pyramid, but through the state-owned Mosques, telling the peasants the reason they are poor is because the Evil West is cheating them... which anybody with eyes can see is not what is happening considering the vulgar displays of wealth going on... so... Al Qaeda. It's like the convoluted plots of those sequels to "The Matrix." If they did not tacitly allow a rebellious entity to exist, and even fund it and make sure it limps along, people would get fed up and rebel.

Russia to demand Ukraine destroy Western weapons to end war, senior Kremlin official says

by Tim Zadorozhnyy June 16, 2025 1:19 PM

Moscow will insist that Ukraine dismantle and destroy all Western-supplied weapons as part of any ceasefire deal, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko said in an interview with the state-run newspaper Izvestia published June 16.

"All these surpluses must be destroyed. All international algorithms are known. They must be reduced, disposed of, and guaranteed," Grushko said, without offering specifics.

The remarks reflect Moscow's growing list of maximalist demands presented in its so-called "peace memorandum" during recent negotiations with Ukraine in Istanbul on June 2.

The document calls for Ukraine to recognize Russia's annexation of Crimea and four partially occupied regions — Kherson, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Luhansk — and demands full Ukrainian troop withdrawal and demobilization.

6 killed, 18 injured in Russian attacks on Ukraine over past day

by Tim Zadorozhnyy June 16, 2025 12:54 PM

At least six civilians were killed and 18 others wounded in Russian attacks across Ukraine over the past 24 hours, regional authorities reported on June 16.

Russia launched 138 drones overnight, including Iranian-designed Shahed-type suicide drones, Ukraine's Air Force said. Air defenses intercepted 125 drones, while another 41 dropped off radars — likely used as decoys to overload Ukrainian systems.

The assault was repelled using aviation, electronic warfare units, mobile fire groups, and anti-aircraft missile systems.

Donetsk Oblast saw the deadliest attacks, with six civilians killed — three in Bagatyr, two in Pokrovsk, and one in Kostyantynivka — and four more injured, Governor Vadym Filashkin said. The region remains one of the most heavily targeted areas amid ongoing Russian offensive operations.

In Kherson Oblast, seven people were injured after Russian forces struck critical infrastructure and residential neighborhoods, damaging eight houses, Governor Oleksandr Prokudin reported.

Three women aged 71, 62, and 27 were wounded in Kupiansk, Kharkiv Oblast, according to Governor Oleh Syniehubov. The oblast has been under intensifying Russian aerial and artillery attacks in recent weeks.

Air defenses were active over Kyiv and surrounding areas, where three people were injured in the capital and region. Authorities said drone fragments fell in residential zones.

In Zaporizhzhia Oblast, a 46-year-old man was injured as Russian troops carried out 426 strikes on 14 settlements, Governor Ivan Fedorov reported.

The latest strikes come as Russia continues to escalate its aerial campaign and reject calls for a ceasefire. Ukrainian officials have repeatedly urged Western partners to bolster air defense capabilities as drone and missile attacks persist.

No. It was in fact started multiple days before the invasion.

With the obsession people have with the politics board in here it's not like it was unbelievable.

But many in here choose to cry about things they find annoying instead of just ignoring them. I rarely venture over there because it's mostly a disconnected fantasyland.

Ukraine warns of Russian info attack during prisoner exchange

June 16, 2025, 05:59 AM

The Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine warns of a large-scale information campaign being prepared by Russia to undermine trust in Ukrainian authorities during the prisoner exchange period, with the peak expected around June 20.

The decision to launch the campaign was made personally by Vladimir Putin, and one of his first deputies is coordinating the operation. The entire effort is based on the rapid dissemination of emotionally charged and manipulative content through leading pro-Kremlin propaganda outlets, including Margarita Simonyan, Vladimir Solovyov, and the so-called "military bloggers."

The main tactic of Russian media is to deliberately distort facts, exaggerate technical delays in the prisoner exchange process, and portray them as deliberate sabotage by Ukraine. In particular, they are spreading allegations that Kyiv is refusing to return the bodies of fallen servicemen, that thousands of bodies remain undelivered to Ukraine, and that official Ukrainian agencies are inactive.

A number of marginal pro-Russian information platforms in Europe are also involved in the campaign, including Hungary’s Magyar Nemzet and Magyar Hírlap, the Czech website CZ24.news, Slovakia’s Jednotné Slovensko, and the French-language Réseau International. Their task is to amplify Kremlin narratives.

The culmination of the campaign, according to the Foreign Intelligence Service (SZRU) forecasts, will be the publication of falsified lists of allegedly identified deceased Ukrainians — both military and civilian — in an attempt by Moscow to provoke panic in Ukrainian society.

Maybe if you were not well over a year late and didn't actually read the thread but just posts you wanted to. You continually show your ignorance of what had already been discussed and those who either got the ban hammer (Russians) or were so ineffective with propaganda their handlers pulled them.
