Russia started their special operation to stop the Nazis, aid people of Russian decent or to stop NATO.
As a result over a million people havdd Ed been killed or wounded and millions of others have been displaced and lost their homes and jobs.
But Russia is the only one that wants peace? That’s what they are selling now. They even had our president making the Ukrainians the bad guy.
Russian propaganda at its finest.

Well that's a clear frick you to Trump. Lets see this deal making magic!
That seems to be the general idea which Zelenskyy, not Ukraine, screwed the pooch on in the Oval Office, to put the ball in Russia's court and show the Putin apologists what Putin/Russia is

That photos looks like McArthur and Hirohito.
Honestly if there is another meeting with Trump, Ukraine should send some of these big fellas. Everyone feels good when a giant human is grateful to them. It’s just human nature.

Zelensky expects "strong steps" of the United States if Russia abandons the truce
News — Wednesday, March 12, 15:24 — Ulyana Krychkovska
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy expects that if Russia refuses the proposals made during the meeting in Jeddah, the United States will go to "strong steps."
He said this during a conversation with journalists about the results of negotiations between Ukraine and the United States in Saudi Arabia, writes "European truth".
When asked by journalists about what the United States will do if Russia does not agree to the steps that were agreed during the meeting of the American and Ukrainian delegations in Saudi Arabia, Zelensky replied that he was waiting for "strong steps."
"Strong steps towards the Russian side. I understand that we can count on strong steps. I do not know the details yet, but we are talking about sanctions and strengthening Ukraine," he said.
Also during the press conference, the Ukrainian leader confirmed that the issue of security guarantees for Ukraine in the event of a pause in the Russian-Ukrainian war was the subject of negotiations with the United States, but a detailed discussion will be later.

Not sure I'm buying this "actually Zelensky is galaxy brained" take when we have years of evidence that he is just an ungrateful little shite and will act as such if the conditions are right.

No doubt he’s lost a lot of credibility the way he acted in DC. He got in over his head and didn’t know his place. He definitely hurt his cause.

It definitely puts a dent into the "Russia wants peace" narrative, but a ceasefire benefits the side that is currently on their back foot. Right now that is Ukraine. If Russia doesn't believe Ukraine will come to them with a realistic peace deal during the ceasefire, there is 0 reason for them to agree to any ceasefire.

Exactly, the only thing now is the Russians have to go on record and reply, and when they do we will see what happens next.

If Putin doesn't negotiate then Trump will likely find another reason to blame Ukraine or better yet Joe Biden and do nothing.
Insert cards/poker reference here.

Nor have Putin and his minions shown anything but distain for anything but the complete capitulation of Ukraine.

The funniest thing to me is that while Trump is tanking the US stock market and economy and screwing with the greater Global Economy, he's boosted the Russian Stock Market!

@Deepstate_UA
about the current situation in Kursk after further Russian advances this week,
"the biggest problem in Kursk Oblast is the enemy's fire control over all logistics of Ukraine's defence forces. Since January, Russian troops have been increasing their ability to monitor our movements, yet no adequate steps have been taken on our side to eliminate this issue. By February, it had reached its peak, with the most serious complications arising after the loss of the village of Sverdlikovo, the attempts to regain which were also not executed in the best-planned manner...
The advance of Russian troops along the border between the settlements Zhuravka and Novenke is also an unpleasant moment. This area is responsible for most strikes on logistics routes [of the Armed Forces of Ukraine – ed.] between the settlements of Yunakivka and Sudzha, and the situation there has been deteriorating for some time."
