None of that are examples of USAID cultivating those relationships though.

Oh Poland thinks highly of us? I wonder if that might have to do with us sending billions of dollars to fight Russia

U.S. funding freeze threatens Ukraine investigations of alleged Russian war crimes

Eh, this seems more like bureaucracy than anything. The Russians aren't going to acquiesce to any findings and the West can deliver any punishment they want without these investigations. We're already delivering sanctions prior to war crimes findings. It's a bureaucratic check the box.

Open to being wrong about that, however.

You're too dumb to understand it.

It is roughly half of 1% of the Federal Budget... but the results it yields are creating pro-US governments and sentiment around the world, as opposed to pro-Putin and pro-China governments and sentiment.

But since you support Trump bullying and alienating our allies, anyway, that won't make sense to you.

And alienating the rest of the world makes it a more dangerous world... the delusion that we can just sit here and hermetically seal ourselves and not get the blowback from what else goes on should have been shattered with Pearl Harbor.

And that's without having to protect Greenland and our new territory in Gaza, which I'm sure will NEVER have an terrorist activity directed at it, right?

Trump is senile at this point and never has been one to think ahead in the least bit.

Elon... is an opportunist pursuing his own agenda, and I can't say I get what that agenda is, unless he really is some Bond villain who wants to accelerate the destruction of America and the world so there's an apocalyptic event and he can seed to future of humanity with his own DNA safely from his secure compound in Texas, or on Mars.

Keith Olberman is on another rant!!!!!

This is a good result. The US should "lead" if and when others follow. It appears Europe could have delivered these funds themselves but didn't because we were. That's not following leadership, that's taking advantage I think. It's a subjective area but worth deliberate consideration.

Why would they kill them all? They were just following orders. Ridiculous.

Is Trump just doing Trump things and saying exaggerated stuff or did he actually give the world an accurate KIA count for this war?

A bad day indeed for Russian shipping.

Probably mixed up KIA with total casualties. Happens frequently

I have no doubt that Trump says whatever is in his head. I am wondering why was the number 2 million in his head. Has he been given a briefing in which the real KIA numbers were mentioned?

2 million for total casualties is more than any of the estimates for total casualties for both sides combined.

I'm sure Acting Commander Kapsha will contact his attorney about filing an Invasion of Privacy / Slander lawsuit. These heinous Ukrainians must be stopped.

Hopefully during the call he can keep one hand free for his favorite website, sexclub.ru .

US stops funding war crimes investigations in Ukraine, — Reuters.

The cuts will affect six projects with a total budget of $89 million, including the Ukraine Serious Crime Advisory Group (ACA).

At least five of these initiatives, which were funded through USAID, the Drug Enforcement Administration, and the State Department, have now had their funding suspended. Dozens of staff have been laid off as a result of the funding cuts.

They often produce fake sources for atrocity propaganda, which media uses for articles.

NO RARE EARTHS BECAUSE BIDENS TOOK THEM?

"There is almost nothing to offer partners"

In order for the US to be able to work with Ukrainian minerals, permits for deposits must be taken away from the current owners, in particular, from the former Minister of Ecology and President of Burisma Mykola Zlochevsky.

This was stated by the head of the Rada Tax Committee Danylo Getmantsev.

He is preparing a corresponding appeal to the National Security and Defense Council and states that these licenses were "stolen" and received "almost free of charge".

"Over the past 30 years, all permits for commercially interesting deposits have already been distributed to "respectable" people. That is, there is nothing or almost nothing to offer partners," Getmantsev writes.

It should be noted that Biden's son Hunter has been on the board of directors of Zlochevsky's company Burisma since 2014.

As previously reported by the media, the SBU has been investigating since 2023 how Burisma received special permits for subsoil use in 2004-2012 (even though Zlochevsky held various government positions at the time). But nothing is known about the results of the investigation.

Ukraine can fund all that now. Seriously, with the $50 billion loan from frozen Russian assets, Ukraine has plenty of money for 2025. They don't need another penny from us this year. What they need are weapons.

As a supporter of defeating Russia, I have no problem with any "funding" being cut for 2025. We truly do not need to send US dollars to Ukraine right now. We need to spend US dollars here in the US to manufacture weapons (including weapons for Ukraine) and build up our defense industrial base to be better prepared for possible conflict with China.

I've mentioned a couple of times in the last couple of months that the Russian rate of advance is slowing. Lately, it's slowing a lot.

The Ukrainian counterattack in Kursk isn't even the only one, either. They also successfully counterattacked in Pishchane, south of Pokrovsk and pushed the Russians out of that town. The tide is turning, and Ukraine is getting closer to a stalemate, which will be very helpful in negotiations.
