Is it "upsetting" to them, though?
Hamas has been effectively neutralized, Hezbollah has been almost neutralized, Iran's regime has had its image pierced... Assad is seemingly on his way out. These are all very good developments. Sullivan will claim some credit for all in his memoirs. So it goes.

Every single last bit of this is stuff that Biden/Sullivan opposed.
The Biden administration didn't want Israel to continue with its war on Hamas. They didn't want Israel to bomb Iran. They especially didn't want Israel to respond to Hezbollah's attacks and take the fight to them. The Biden administration took great pains to make sure that everyone knew that we had nothing to do with the pager attacks.
None of this would have happened if Biden/Sullivan had been able to stop it.

Kremlin dismisses commander of its forces in Syria amid 'significant' losses, Ukraine's military intelligence says
by Kateryna Hodunova December 1, 2024 3:05 PM
Russia's leadership has dismissed General Sergei Kisel, who commanded Moscow's military group in Syria, Ukraine's military intelligence (HUR) reported on Dec. 1.
Following years of low-intensity fighting, rebels led by the radical group Tahrir al-Sham entered Aleppo on Nov. 29 and engaged the government forces of President Bashar al-Assad. They left the city and reported that they were preparing a counteroffensive.
Pro-Assad Syrian government forces had held nearly 70% of the country with the support of Russia, Iran, and allies from Hezbollah, a terrorist group based in Lebanon, according to the Associated Press.
Russian troops deployed in Syria have suffered "significant" losses, some Russian units are surrounded, and "hundreds" of Russian soldiers are missing, according to HUR.
Before serving in Syria, Kisel participated in the full-scale invasion of Ukraine but was dismissed from his post due to his failed activities, the intelligence's report read.
According to Ukrainian intelligence, Kisel will be replaced by another Russian general, Alexander Chaiko, who has already arrived in Syria. Chaiko commanded Russian troops in Syria from 2017 until 2019.

INTELLIGENCE UPDATE
UPDATE ON UKRAINE
01 December 2024
In Donetsk oblast, Russian forces have made rapid advances towards the eastern flank of Velyka Novosilka. The town has been situated on the front line since 2022 and has acted as a lynchpin of Ukraine's defensive line. Ukraine regained some territory south of the town as part of its 2023 counter offensive.
Velyka Novosilka is now vulnerable to Russian attacks due to the loss of Vuhledar, 30km to the east, in early October 2024. This enabled increased Russian advances into less well-defended areas in western Donetsk oblast. Russian forces are attacking behind established Ukrainian defences and threatening the primary logistics routes to the town.

Well, it was too good to be true. The Turkish -backed rebels (SNA) are now fighting with the Kurds (SDF).
I think the SDF may end up wishing that it had fully joined yesterday and the fight against Assad.

Historically, the kurds are known to be some of the best fighters in the world. That is why their land was divided between Turkey, Iraq and Iran. There should be a Kurdistan (or whatever), but those 3 countries knew better than to unite them.
