The U.S. has a great opportunity to step in and dominate Russia. If Trump seizes that opportunity, it will be a great move.

Flood the international oil and gas market and Russia will collapse from within.

Actually, the Saudis recently announced plans to do this. They are pissed at Russia. But it will hurt our O&G producers too.

Germany enabled Russia buy subsidizing the EU's push for Green Energy by using cheap natural gas. If the EU had not been buying as much natural gas from Russia as they did, Putin would not have been able to afford to spend the past 15 to 20 years building up his military. He would have never been able to afford annexing Crimea or invading Ukraine. The german PM that went to work for Gazprom after signing the original Nord Stream contract should be hung from the Maiden monument in Ukraine.
The naive belief at the time was that including Russia as much as possible and enriching them as a country would make it behave like a normal, fat and peaceful European country.
Ever see that video presentation Trump brought to North Korea? It's the same pitch... "You can be rich is you just join the club and stop acting like lunatics."
It shows a misunderstanding of the leaders and their priorities... Putin and Kim own everything in their countries, they're rich beyond their imaginations. Though I understand how we reached that point after dealing with China and Vietnam, but there's different things going on in those countries... especially in Vietnam.

Trump and Elon (both raised as churchgoing lads) told Zelenskyy to stop sending these Christian boys out to slaughter. It's got to stop, Volodymyr. you've got to end the slaughter.
HAHAHAHAHAHA!
Trump has never been a churchgoing lad in his damned life.
Elon was an avowed. loud and proud Atheist... but in the last 6 months he's started saying he believes in the teachings of Jesus... which is very convenient.

just like they have on previous ones...
Of course they will abide by a new security agreement if they have a gun to their head.
Russia thinks it is the one with the gun to someone's head, though... even if that's not remotely true, they convince themselves of it.

African soldiers are likely being recruited by the Kremlin to avoid a mobilisation of the Russian people. This comes amid record daily casualties in its illegal invasion of Ukraine.

A Ukrainian serviceman reports on Telegram about a buildup of Russian forces in the Zaporizhzhia region for a possible offensive.
The Zaporizhzhia region and the city of Zaporizhzhia are important for Russia, which has claimed the area as its territory. However, it remains unclear whether they have enough strength to launch a significant strike.

Well-known Russian war correspondent Alexander Kharchenko recounts with horror his experience traveling on occupied roads in Donetsk region, which shows the fierce resistance from the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The path is littered with dozens of burned “Bukhankas” and other vehicles, driving the Russian soldiers to the brink of madness. The chance of being killed by a drone approaches 100%, leading to a shift in their mindset toward something almost esoteric.

According to Mali's Foreign Minister Abdoulaye Diop, some "terrorists in Mali confirmed their cooperation with Ukraine." He made this statement, of course, to the Russian news agency TASS.
According to Diop, this fact causes serious concern for the country's authorities.
The minister expressed bewilderment over how a UN member state could cooperate with terrorist groups operating with the aim of destabilising the country.
Diop also expressed confusion as to why Mali, which has never shown hostility towards Ukraine, has become a target of Kyiv.

Russia really started deploying wired FPV drones in quantity about four months ago, but they are using them more all the time.
Naturally, using a wire significantly reduces range and sometimes can't navigate certain obstacles (wires can catch on things or get tangled in trees), but there's a big advantage in reaction time, and, of course, the biggest advantage is that the FPV is unaffected by EW.

Total mystery as to why Ukraine would oppose countries allying themselves with Russia and hosting Russian troops. I can't imagine why Ukraine would try to kill Russian military personnel in those countries. The mind boggles.

A prankster sent a letter to schools in the Voronezh region of Russia under the guise of a demand from the ruling 'United Russia' party to make and wear tinfoil hats to protect against NATO satellite radiation.
7 schools complied with the demand, 2 of them involved children in creating the tinfoil hats.

A lot going on. This war is a long way from conclusion unless Trump pulls a rabbit out of the hat.
From where I sit, Putin is the key. How bad does he want this nightmare to end?

That's not going to work the way Putin thinks it will. He's just going to piss off a lot more Ukrainians and most of the rest of the world with his terror attacks on civilians.
