I listen to this most days but today Bohnert was interviewed and gives interesting details.

Cliff Notes
Kursk is having a definite effect.
Russia is deficient in air defense by a lot, especially short range defense. 100% designed for Tomahawks and Ballistic missiles. Way too many places to defend than they have any air defense for at all.

That this is even allowed on their discussion programs is quite telling.

Good God Almighty, what an embarrassing juxtaposition!

Even for those too indolent to do their own research, it's not like I hadn't posted this material earlier.

Isw update Sept 18th

quote:

Key Takeaways:

Ukrainian forces conducted a successful drone strike against a Russian missile and ammunition storage facility near Toropets, Tver Oblast on September 18.

Continued Ukrainian strikes against rear Russian logistics facilities within Russia will generate wider operational pressures on the Russian military beyond the individual destruction of ammunition stockpiles and logistics facilities.

Russian authorities arrested the head of the Central Military District (CMD)'s armor service on September 18 on suspicion of receiving a large bribe, marking yet another corruption case against a high-ranking Russian military official since the April 2024 appointment of Andrei Belousov as Russian Defense Minister.

An unsuccessful armed assault against several offices of Russia's largest online retailer Wildberries in Moscow City highlights the fragility of Russia's domestic stability.

Armenian officials continue to criticize the Russian-led Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) amid worsening Armenia-Russia bilateral relations.

Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova condemned Israel for simultaneously detonating thousands of pagers belonging to Lebanese Hezbollah (LH) members across Lebanon and Syria on September 17, signaling Russia's continued rhetorical alignment with Iran's Axis of Resistance against Israel.

Ukrainian forces recently advanced in the Kursk Oblast salient.

Russian forces regained positions within Kursk Oblast salient.

Russian forces recently advanced along the Kupyansk-Svatove-Kreminna line, within Toretsk, east and southeast of Pokrovsk, southwest of Donetsk City, and in eastern Zaporizhia Oblast.

The Russian State Duma announced on September 18 that it approved a bill in its first reading that proposes releasing Russian servicemembers serving in Ukraine from criminal punishment associated with cases actively being tried in Russia courts.

Some gems from the Politard board today about Russia’s “pager” moment:

quote:

Do you want to know why Russia has not squashed Ukraine like a bug? Because they do not want to pay for the infrastructure rebuild. That is it. I mean I cannot believe people are seriously entertaining these idiotic notions that they are weak or incapable.

quote:

- Russia's mobile air defense radar and tracking is not going to be fooled by our platforms. It's the best in the world.

quote:

I'm ready for Russia to take all of Ukraine. Just take the whole fricking thing. Make them all Russians. If the goal was to make me hate Ukraine more than Russia, then the goal has been achieved.

quote:

Blackrock will oversee Ukraine reconstruction with our money. That’s why the Dem doves suddenly turned hawkish.

And then this … whatever the frick this is.. from the same guy who cried about Churchill being too mean to the Nazis:

It was a dark day for the BRICS bois.

It's wild that guys like Tim Pool got exposed for taking all their money directly from Putin, and the Politards don't realize that Tenet Media was just the tip of the iceberg and they're getting fed an information diet straight from the Kremlin.

BREAKING: Armenia says that it has foiled a Russia-backed coup attempt

I figured that was coming... Armenia concluding Russia was a sinking ship (after they abandoned their "peacekeeper role" in disputed areas and allowed Azerbaijan to just drive in and seize them) and they could no longer depend on them for (necessary) protection, and shifting things towards the EU... I think they realize Iran is too toxic for them to depend on, too.

Remember this from a few months ago?

EURASIA.NET: US to help Armenia modernize its military

That's kind of the deal we were doing with Ukraine after Crimea, but publicly and ahead of an invasion (though Russia has to either send troops through Georgia or invade from the Caspian Sea in the case of Armenia...)

Again off-topic (but ultimately it's all a bit related)

Um... I haven't seen these reports...
