With no sanction quantification, relative or not, that is an absolutely stupid comment.
What? In the context of the broader argument, it supports my point that they've developed a 'resistance economy' with the IRGC modifying supply chains through foundations, front companies and foreign nationals. It doesn't matter the type of sanction, they've developed a workaround. For example, the sanctions program aimed at curbing their missile program did not succeed in either curbing their to production of domestic ballistic missiles nor their transfer to proxy groups.

The audacity of blind presumption regarding anyone else's knowledgebase issued from such a painfully clueless perspective is breathtaking.
You can't see the forest for the trees man. Iran was not immediately weakened by the sanctions nor have their been any noticeable effects on their proxies. We know this from their behavior in 2019 but obviously you can't seem to understand that. Oh well.

Weird, how did they manage to survive all those decades before getting nukes???
Their nuclear program started when the USSR still existed, so I would wager the USSR's existence probably had a tiny bit to do with that.

That is insane how big that area of fires/explosions is.
It’s funny how liberals will say refrigeration, pizza ovens and cows hurt the climate and climate change is the world’s greatest threat. Yet have zero issues blowing up and burning anything and everything they don’t like. I guess the toxic fumes stop at the border right?

Most conservatives are cheering this. It's Tucker's Stupid Phuckers and their ilk who aren't.

If Tucker is “stupid” what does that make you?

His thinking, and that of others, is that Trump caused gasoline prices down in 2020. Meanwhile oil companies were literally pouring free gasoline to the market to keep some of their refining going to make more profitable products than next to no profit gasoline. Exxon Chemical was making bank selling isopropyl alcohol using propylene from the Exxon Refinery cat crackers which were losing shirt money out the wazoo making gasoline. The isopropyl alcohol unit ran well above nameplate capacity and months beyond a scheduled turnaround.
Just like in 2014, many independent oil producers were forced into bankruptcy or mergers with loss of revenue.

As someone who works at Exxon headquarters you have absolutely zero clue what you’re talking about. My god what a nimwit.

Luckily for Ukraine, Russia's biggest enemy is itself:

Several indications that Ukraine used its new jet-powered drones in the attack.
The sound of that engine is unmistakable and it's flying at a low, approach altitude. I doubt seriously that Ukraine got an aircraft to that location and Russian aircraft wouldn't have had time to respond. So, cruise missile.
Did the promised Canadian 'rocket engines' arrive already? Maybe, maybe not. But we do know that the Scalp/Storm Shadow cruise missiles have been there for a long time. Logic is not my strong suit, but this is looking like it could, just possibly, maybe, somewhat be our long-awaited long distance go-ahead.
Some comment has been that the White House will give permission to use the Scalp/Storm Shadow cruise missiles for long range targets soon, but not the US ATACMS. The concern being that Russia would then facilitate a major attack on a US Base in the Middle East to influence the US election. Some commenters have gone as far as to guarantee such an attack will occur this month or next.

Yep, I've seen people warning that you can almost depend on it...

It appears that the Palyantsia is now being used. Here's another strike that may confirm it.
In the Bryansk oblast, an unknown type of weapon struck a Russian military base and destroyed one of the buildings.
18 September, 2024
The moment of the hit was filmed by a Russian soldier, whose video was posted on the Exilenova Telegram channel.
The targeted military base, designated No. 23857, is located near the village of Pochep.
In the video, a Russian soldier captured a distinctive noise resembling the sound of a jet engine.
It is possible that the military base was hit by a Ukrainian Palianytsia long-range drone missile.
The Palyanytsia was developed by Ukrainian specialists in the shortest possible time to create a response to Russia’s constant missile attacks.
Due to the secrecy of the product, the characteristics of the new long-range weapon are not disclosed.
However, it is noted that more than two dozen Russian airfields are within range of this missile.
The Palyanytsia is launched from the ground, and to achieve a long range, the drone missile is equipped with a turbojet engine, which in theory allows for thrust control to achieve the most economical flight speed.
