If you want to see a Kursk map that interprets recent events as positively for Ukraine as possible, this one from @MalcontentmentT should do the trick. It shows the Russian counterattack as largely confined to Snagost (to be fair, that the is only town where we got videos of any flag-raising), and it shows the new Ukrainian incursion as linking up with the rest of Ukrainian-controlled territory. I do like how this map shows the Russian vulnerability south of the Seim River as shaded in purple.

There's not much about this map that is definitively wrong, but I'm fairly confident that it's incorrect in showing Ukrainian control northeast of Korenevo and the area just west of Snagost. Nevertheless, I think it's useful in showing how the results of the new Ukrainian border crossing at Novyi Put connects with the rest of the Ukrainian effort in Kursk.

Update: I misunderstood this map. The yellow line, which I thought was supposed to represent Ukrainian control, is actually the representation of the gray zone. The areas under firm Ukrainian control are marked by the orange lines. Now, the map makes a lot more sense. I apologize for the confusion, but I was confused myself.

British Defence Intelligence
INTELLIGENCE UPDATE
UPDATE ON UKRAINE
15 September 2024

Russia has continued a high tempo of offensive operations across multiple areas of the frontline.

In Russia's Kursk oblast, where Ukraine has maintained control of approximately 800-900 sq km of territory since mid-August 2024, Russian forces have begun a counter-offensive. Spearheaded by Airborne and Naval Infantry units, Russian forces have attacked Ukrainian positions in the west of the salient and have highly likely retaken several villages

In eastern Ukraine, Russian forces have made gradual advances around Vuhledar and to the southeast of the logistics hub of Pokrovsk. However Russia has not advanced significantly towards Pokrovsk itself within the past week.

This may change very soon. The deployment of the new Iranian Fath 360 ballistic missiles may be just the opportunity that the White House has been looking for to allow a climb-down from their non-escalation policy. I'm not going to write a 'War and Peace' here, but it's an opportunity that resolves most if not all the underpinnings of this policy.

For most of us, the targeting of a pediatric oncology hospital ad infinitum would easily solve the problem of the non-escalation policy. But evidently for the White House, that wasn't enough. However things have changed. Pressure from the Ukrainians and Congressional/NATO/EU leaders has taken its toll on the Jake Sullivan's of the world.

So let's see what happens when the Russians move those Faths within initial reach of the long range Western weapons.

This morning I watched Perun's first video on the war for Ukraine to defeat Russia. It stands up to the test of time even though only March 1, 2022.

Trans Adriatic Pipeline System is from Azerbaijan via Georgia and Turkey. Kazakhstan has redirected its flow to this system as well.

Has Kazakhstan? I thought that they were unable to cross the Caspian without Russia’s permission.

They switched a year ago. They still export to China and also started up a GTL plant. Production is in decline as well. It's the oil that has to flow via Russia to the Black Sea.

Scumbag deserves death. Psychos can certainly have all kinds of political beliefs.

I will say, though, that anyone is a true imbecile if they think that Vance replacing Trump at the top of the GOP ticket would be good for Ukraine. Insofar as I can tell, Trump doesn't really have strong opinions on Ukraine one way or the other. Vance, though, obviously hates Ukraine and seems to actually be pro-Russia in the conflict. Ukraine is much better off with a Trump vs Harris race than they would be with a Vance vs Harris race.

So, if Ukraine policy played any role in Ryan Routh's motivation today, he's retarded in multiple ways.

Totally hypothetical....just curious what your reaction would be if it came to light that Ukraine approached him for this? I know it's out there. There are a lot of people in the world that don't want him in. Not just in the US or Ukraine
