The average daily Russian casualties (killed and wounded) in Ukraine throughout May and June 2024, increased to conflict highs of 1262 and 1163 respectively. In total Russia likely lost (killed and wounded) in excess of 70,000 personnel over the past two months.
It’s kinda interesting how we know the exact number of Russians killed. But you can’t find an accurate figure of Ukraine deaths almost anywhere.

The thing is the people that really know aren’t saying. The numbers floated around by both sides can’t be trusted.

Maybe the Poli board would have some better answers

Really, cause I seem to remember your people taking off and running with the ludicrous Ukraine 800k KIA to Russia’s 18k like it was the gospel.

Russia's casualty rate will likely continue to average above 1,000 a day over the next two months as Russia continues to try to overmatch Ukrainian positions with mass.
Must be great for Russian morale. Hey, it worked for Stalin, but it was the Nazis invading their motherland. Now, it is Putin that is doing the invading. How long will Russians be willing to die and be maimed for Putin's ambitions?

I cant believe there was a time when I considered you a potential MSB ally.
Mutual dislike of insufferable / delusional Pelicans fans can only do so much. Sad.

538 (the site Nate Silver founded) aggregates all of the polls, and weighs them for accuracy according to methodology combined with facts about each state's demography, past voting trends, and - most importantly - the question the pollsters ask them about how likely they are to vote and their past voting history, and then runs simulations of election day with every variable over and over to give a rough conclusion of who most likely wins. BUT we're talking about statistical probability here... just because Hillary won in 80% of their simulations did not mean that one of the 20% of instances where she lost was impossible. That's important and something most people don't understand.
538: "Who is favored to win the 2024 Presidential Election"
I love that you think you're more "in the know" politically because you follow the 100% far left remaining panel at 538. Just so you know, Nate Silver gives Biden a 15% chance of winning per his podcast today.

Well since Ukraine is releasing prisoners to fight, has reduced the draft age, and is jerking people off the street, and sending them untrained straight to front lines......yeah you could say they lost a good many soldiers as well.
That and about 10 millon people have bolted rather than die so cargo pants can line his pockets.
But hey they still have mt. rubble....I mean kharkiv, so there is that.
And nice to see biden screwed Texas on FEMA monies so we can continue to pay the pensions of ukranians while our own people go homeless.
How any of you continue to support this nonsense and call yourselves American is beyond belief.

ISW Update

Key Takeaways:
Western and US officials reportedly assess that Ukrainian forces will continue to be on the defensive for the next six months and will not be able to conduct a large-scale counteroffensive operation until 2025. Ukrainian forces are already attempting to contest the tactical initiative in limited counterattacks in select sectors of the front, however, and Ukrainian forces may be able to conduct limited counteroffensive operations even while largely on the defensive depending on the arrival of Western aid.
The Kremlin continues to signal its unwillingness to participate in peace negotiations that do not result in complete Ukrainian and Western capitulation to the Kremlin's demands amid ongoing Ukrainian efforts to form an international consensus for future negotiations.
Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov used a phone call with US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin on July 12, his second in three weeks, to reiterate standard Russian threats intended to coerce the US out of supporting Ukraine as part of an ongoing reflexive control campaign targeting Western decision-makers.
The United Kingdom (UK) government has reportedly not permitted Ukraine to use UK-supplied Storm Shadow missiles to strike military targets within Russia, despite previous Western reporting and UK official statements to the contrary.
The US Department of Defense (DoD) announced on July 11 a military aid package for Ukraine worth $225 million.
Indian state-run oil refineries are reportedly negotiating an oil import deal with Russia, likely as a result of the recent meetings between Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin and improving Russo-Indian energy relations in recent months.
The Kremlin continues to intensify efforts to encourage self-censorship among information space voices and consolidate physical control over internet infrastructure.
Russian forces recently made confirmed advances near Avdiivka and in the Donetsk-Zaporizhia Oblast border area.
Russian infantry units are reportedly assaulting Ukrainian trench positions in single-file columns due to pervasive Ukrainian minefields and poor assault training.
Russian President Vladimir Putin met with Zaporizhia Oblast occupation administration head Yevgeny Balitsky on July 12 and discussed social and infrastructure projects in occupied Zaporizhia Oblast.

Yep with one *small* difference.
Ukriane reduced the draft age from 27 to 25. Russia increased the top conscription age from 27 to 30.
And Russia also had people flee the draft too

Russian nationals seeking asylum in Western countries to avoid being drafted into the military has reached a record high, according to the U.K. government, as Moscow and Kyiv dig deep to replenish their ranks more than two years into the Ukrainian war.
Russian citizens searching for refuge in Western countries to escape military service have hit "record levels," the British Defense Ministry said Wednesday.
Deep into the third year of a full-scale war, both Moscow and Kyiv have sustained heavy casualties among their fatigued forces. Western experts say Russian tactics securing gains along the front line in eastern Ukraine have been paid for with sky-high casualty counts.
Earlier this month, Russian independent media outlet Mediazona reported an "unprecedented" growth in cases brought against Russian citizens this year for refusing to serve in the military or for desertion.
In March, Russian courts handed down nearly 700 sentences for "absence without leave," according to the outlet.

In July 2023, Russia increased the conscription age from 27 to 30, months after Moscow passed a law to introduce digital conscription designed to crack down on draft dodging. This increased "the pool of available military conscripts by 2 million for years to come," the head of the U.S. military's European Command, General Christopher Cavoli, told U.S. lawmakers earlier this month.
"Many of the soldiers who have been tracked down and appear in military court are given suspended sentences, returned to their units and to the frontlines," the U.K. government said Wednesday. "Russian soldiers, including those forcibly recruited during the September 2022 partial mobilisation, are required to remain in military service indefinitely, with little prospect of release.

He added that Russia's army is now 15 percent larger than when Moscow's forces invaded Ukraine in February 2022.
Ukraine has struggled with maintaining its fighting force, balancing the deep unpopularity of widening conscription with the much smaller pool of fighters available in the country to battle Russia's far larger military. Kyiv has also contended with tens of thousands of men avoiding the draft.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who has called an expanded draft "sensitive," signed a law in early April lowering the conscription age from 27 to 25. Zelensky had said in December 2023 that Kyiv needed up to 500,000 extra fighters.

America's draft for the Vietnam war in 1969 was for males 19 to 23 years of age.
D-Day's deaths had a lot of 19 and 20 year old young men.
