Furthermore, despite the presence of some Sukhois, Ilyushins and Antonovs, the bulk of aircraft operated in Russia is still Boeing and Airbus. Those use CFM, GE and Rolls Royce engines.
quote:
All these manufactures have cut off access to repair manuals without which the aircraft and engines cannot be serviced. They have also issued a global ban on servicing in other countries, so that Russian aircraft cannot be flown abroad for maintenance.
Damn

That's b/c the Biden admin decided to released all the intel in the run up. It was actually a brilliant move b/c instead of keeping our intel close to the vest and talking about what we knew after the fact they blew up any chance Putin had to shape the narrative.

The part about many of those planes being owned by Irish airlines and Ireland basically having to cancel the contracts was also pretty significant.

This aircraft (RF-91961, bort # red 07) was one of the Su-25SM attack aircraft deployed from the Eastern Military District to Belarus. It was last photographed in Novosibirsk's Tolmachevo Airport in 2022. Pretty solid confirmation it was lost.

I mean hell, some crafty Ukrainian could be running around with a can of white spray paint putting Z’s on every price of blown up armor he sees.
You can do it digitally nowadays.
Original footage was from 2014 and was passed off as current.

For those who asked about the convoy earlier. This was a few hours ago:

And for those wondering, this is Natasha:

The US believes a 40-mile-long Russian military convoy outside of Kyiv is “stalled,” a senior US defense official told reporters Wednesday.
"They are not moving at any rate that would lead one to believe they’ve solved their problems. So we would characterize it as stalled."
And for those wondering, this is Natasha:

Russia Evacuates Wounded Soldiers to Belarus as Its Casualties in Ukraine War Rise
Convoys of ambulances in border area; ‘There has been a constant flow’
quote:
MAZYR, Belarus—A string of seven bus-size Russian military ambulances—their windows blocked with gray shades—pulled up to the back entrance of the main hospital here, about 30 miles from the border with Ukraine, on Tuesday evening, ferrying casualties from the front.
The convoy was part of what local residents and doctors said has in recent days become a steady flow of Russian soldiers wounded in fierce fighting around Kyiv, the Ukrainian capital, where a Russian advance has stalled in the face of strong resistance.
A doctor at the hospital—which is in southern Belarus’s Gomel region, a main staging ground for Russia’s offensive—said injured Russian troops began arriving on Monday. “I hope they don’t jail me for sharing this,” she said.
“I saw seven soldiers right in front of me out of the elevator. All Russian. One was in a wheelchair, the other had his head bandaged,” said a man leaving the hospital. “My doctor said they’ve closed off the whole surgical wing.”
quote:
Moscow has sought to play down the extent of the fighting involved in its invasion of Ukraine and, at first, the number of Russian casualties. For much of the first week of the war, the Russian Defense Ministry limited its public comments to saying that the losses it had suffered were significantly lower than those on the Ukrainian side, without providing details. Late Wednesday the ministry gave its first official accounting, saying 498 soldiers had been killed and more than 1,500 wounded.

Yeah, but they’re openly admitting to doing it. Granted I think it’s more likely a Ukrainian journalist found this out and didn’t know this constitutes as a war crime.
That’s a war crime that’s hard to prove anyways all you gotta do say they refused to surrender.
Russia bombing civilians however is blatant and obvious
