Is this because of debris in the water or just fear of being hit?

When traffic was stopped before it was fear of any ship rigged to blow up under the bridge.

There is still a massive back up of vessels following the recent attack and they are still unable to pass through the strait.

The vast majority, of those identifiable, are quite small ships not much more carrying capacity than a river barge in the USA, and tugs.

INTELLIGENCE UPDATE
UPDATE ON UKRAINE 14 August 2023

Over the last week, there has been an uptick in small-scale combat along the banks of the lower reaches of the Dnipro River.

Ukrainian forces have worked to raid or set up small bridgeheads at new locations on the Russian-held east bank. This is in addition to expanding the bridgehead Ukraine has maintained near the ruined Antonivsky Bridge since June 2023. Some of these operations likely took advantage of a local Russian force rotation.

The combatants also continue to skirmish for control of small islands in the Dnipro estuary. Russian commanders face a dilemma of whether to strengthen this area or to deploy troops in the areas of Ukraine's main counter-offensive operations, farther to the east.

It will complement the 1400 Borsuk IFVs Poland is also buying

The new IFV will be based on the chassis of the South Korean K9 self-propelled howitzer, but will also include components of the Polish Krab SPH.

It will be produced by @PGZ_pl

Poland is very quickly becoming one of the world's greatest military powers. It's incredible.

, or they’re going to start a nuclear program.

They shouldnt have given up their nukes. Thats part of the reason they are where they are.

I sorta agree. Russia would not have invaded Ukraine if Ukraine had nukes. However, when Ukraine gave up its nukes it did not have the money to maintain them or the money to protect them. If Ukraine had kept all of its nukes then most would be useless today and there is a decent chance that some of the nukes ended up with terrorists or rogue regimens like Libya or with terrorists.

None of these chickenhawks have even been to Russia or Ukraine. They are so ignorant. This would have ended 18 months ago if not for the US MIC. It's reprehensible.

I have been to both. Russia invading its neighbor is reprehensible. Of course nobody expects a rationale answer from an ignorant cuck idiot like you.

The Russians have heavily beefed up their EW capabilities along the front and HIMARS aren’t nearly as effective as they when they were first introduced into the theater.

HIMARS are no longer as effective because Russia is no longer building massive supply depos within HIMARS range of the front. They are still damn effective at destroying stuff. The only rail and road links between Russia and the front have to either come through Crimea, Mariupol, or the rail ferry facilities in the port of Berdyansk. The rail links between the front and Crimea are currently cut because the Chondar bridge was knocked out. The road links between Crimea and the front are limited due to lane and weight restrictions on the Kerch Straits Bridge. If Ukraine gets into HIMARS range of Mariupol and/or Berdyansk then Ukraine can knock out the rail ferry facilities in Berdyansk and knock out the road and rail links between the front and Mariupol.

A training centre in Tambov, Russia, has hung a banner showing a 'new Russian empire' comprising all of central and eastern Europe, a re-divided Germany, Finland, central Asia, Mongolia and Alaska, with the slogan "We will teach you to love the Motherland".

The banner has been displayed at Tambov's Training Centre no. 266, which trains tractor, forklift and truck drivers. It shows the old Soviet Union plus the former Warsaw Pact countries, the former Yugoslavia, Greece, Finland, Mongolia and Alaska as part of a unified Russia.

Not Ukraine related but cool nonetheless. Air Force is painting the Hercs in D-Day stripes for the 79th anniversary.
