Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov says Putin is aware of Wagner's Yevgeny Prigozhin basically declaring a coup against the army and claims "all the necessary measures are being taken." Whatever those are.

I'm not sure that I understand Prigozhin's plan right now. How is he and his 25k men going to succeed in taking power, when he doesn't control Moscow?
Is he under the impression that large Russian military units will mutiny and join him? Did he think that Kadryov or the FSB would take his side?
Obviously, I don't know what he knows, but I don't see how he wins.

I honestly don’t even know what to try to predict or interpret. Best I can tell is he was told he’s going to get tossed out of a window soon (or they tried and he killed their assassin, so they blew up his troops) and he figured this is his best shot.
Maybe he actually intends to March to Moscow with 25k and see if the military joins him. Didn’t hitler try the same shite?

He strikes me as the kinda guy who loves to hear himself talk… folks on both sides lap it up. But he’s run his mouth a little too much and Moscow finally called his bluff.

The only one who benefits from all of this is Ukraine.
As to the counter offensive, it is still very much in progress. What we've seen so far is aggressive probing and shaping of the battlefield. Ukraine is forcing Russia to reposition troops, giving them time to do so, and will strike their real blow at some point in the not-too-far future.
I've said before that Ukraine has time on their side right now, they are making the most of it.

Question that remains to be seen is what side is he on. Is he still in putins favor and this is the plan to show the MoD as the reason for the failures happening. With MoD and certain oligarchs about to take a fall “ out a window”.

Lenin took over Russia w/a relatively small force due to a disastrous war and the internal rot of the Czar's government. Perhaps Prigozhin believes he can do the same?
