It’s actually more likely around double that if you say one regular 105 mm HE round costs between $300-$350. So between 90,000-100,000 rounds. It’s about time Belgium started pulling their weight.

US Congress introduced a resolution demanding to provide Ukraine with ATACMS
European Pravda — Friday, 9 June 2023, 21:26

On Friday, members of the US House Committee on Foreign Affairs representing the Democratic and Republican parties announced a resolution calling on President Joe Biden's administration to hand over ATACMS long-range missiles to Ukraine.

Source: European Pravda.

According to Republican Michael McCall, the co-author of the Resolution, and chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, if the United States does not provide Ukraine with all the necessary weapons, it will help prolong the war.

"The success of the Ukrainian counteroffensive is directly related to the military assistance provided by the United States and our allies. Therefore, it is extremely disappointing that the administration is delaying billions of dollars of military funding, which could be immediately transferred to Ukraine and in turn help its Armed Forces significantly change the situation on the battlefield," he said.

In the document, the decisions of the governments of the UK and France to transfer Storm Shadow and SCALP-EG long-range missiles, respectively, both with a range of 250 kilometres, are mentioned.

"The United States and its allies jointly own thousands of ATACMS missiles that could be transferred to Ukraine," the draft resolution said, stating that Russia's current dominance in long-range weapons "forces Ukrainian forces to fight at a much greater disadvantage".

If passed, the House of Representatives will call on the United States to "immediately transfer to Ukraine a sufficient number of ATACMS to accelerate Ukraine's victory in Russia's unprovoked aggressive war, while maintaining the combat readiness of the US military".

"The expeditious provision of this critical weapon system will provide the Ukrainian military with a critical deep-strike capability they currently lack, disrupt Russia’s warfighting ability, and could hasten Ukraine’s victory," the resolution says.

Ukraine is definitely going for the dagger by attacking the teeth of Russian defensive lines in order to cut off Crimea.

I have to say, I’m not sure I agree with the move, but it’s their business.

In the Bakhmut area, Ukrainian operations north of the city appear to have stalled for the time being. Not so on the south flank.

Here's @NOELreports map showing today's Ukrainian gains around Klischiivka, south of Bakhmut.

This is London's first accusation against Tehran.

Cleverly stated that "Iran is constantly supplying russia with weapons and ammunition that are used to kill civilians in Ukraine."

In return, the Russian Federation supplies Iran with "modern military technology, financial support and advice that the regime can use to threaten our partners in the Middle East and suppress protests."

Even with the new part of the front opening now south of Hulyapole, that still only puts us up to six or maybe seven Ukrainian brigades in action so far, and there were fifteen allocated for the offensive. We haven't seen a single picture yet of a Challenger, Stryker, or CV-90 on the field. Ukraine is definitely just getting started.

I really think that Ukraine is going to continue to broaden the field. There's a rumor that one of these brigades is in the far north, near Kupiansk.

EDIT: here's Dr. Mike Martin (former British Army and now professor of War Studies at King's College, London)

I have a hunch. Tokmak could be to fix the Russian reserve (as the most obvious axis of assault) and Vuhledar the main axis.

If I were Ukraine I would want to see Russia commit its reserve.

Based on political or military considerations?

Both. Ukraine needs to get a resounding defeat of the Russian army in this offensive. Cutting off Crimea serves both political and military goals. A successful and headline grabbing victory for Ukraine will keep the money and bullets flowing from the west.

Mine clears help with clearing the mines but in a narrow path. So it acts like a funnel where you need to quickly get past or quickly destroyed as u bunch up.

Yeah he is hit or miss. The channels on both sides right now are very quiet. I think something big is definitely brewing tonight but I don't know if I believe 10 brigades

If Russia uses tactical nukes then Ukraine is the least of the Russian’s worries. That would be too much for the west to just stand by and allow, especially Poland.

Mayhaps. It would make sense based off the “dilemma” tactics.

Make them have to reinforce to protect Tomak and then the field is set.

Russia has to know that’s the plan and is trying to avoid reinforcing.

I can't really see them using one in Ukraine. Unless a large force crosse the border and headed for the capital, I think they would refrain. They know if they use one it's go time. They might as well light them all off
