Things are going to get really crazy when Trump wins again. He will pull us out of NATO, stop funding Ukraine, and we will send money, weapons and troops on behalf of Russia.

Extremely optimistic dream.

I predict the death of 10,000+ Russian invaders between now and close of business on May 9.

They have been conditioned their entire lives to believe everything the Kremlin tells them,
This is why the Kremlin doesn’t put any effort into making these false flag operations look legit. They could use a styrofoam glider with an M-80 firework attached and State tv would pretend it’s real. It really doesn’t matter.

Wasn’t it widely reported Russia hired mercenaries to go after Z week ons? Who is this guy trying to fool?

From a 2019 article on how Russia disguised the Kremlin during WWII,
And that's the problem with the May 9th parades. Either there are few modern armored vehicles, and the conclusion is that Russia's military has been hollowed out by the war, or there are impressive vehicles in the parades, and people demand to know why they arrive on the front lines.
So, perhaps it's just better to cancel the parades over security concerns. After all, if two drones can hit the Kremlin, then all that juicy military tech at a parade would be an even better target.

quote:
In his diary, Nikolay Verzbitsky, who lived in Moscow during the war, described November 7th, 1941: “A somber celebration (anniversary of the October Revolution - ed.) A demonstration walks in the street – 200 men and women with shovels and crowbars. It’s cold, it’s windy; snowing heavily. Huge lines for potatoes and bread. The radio malfunctioned in the morning – they say it’s the Germans corrupting the broadcast. Several hundred tanks took part in the parade on Red Square, which calmed the Moscow public a bit. But some say: ‘Why are these tanks at the parade, they must be out on the front lines!’ Stalin said the war will last for several months, half a year, maybe a year…”

I thought Putin already cancelled the Victory Day parades for this year.
And it has led to speculation that they're running low on equipment...or its really over "security concerns" like Putin said.

That is why there are recon patrols. Now show us Russian video of where a recon patrol roamed freely behind their lines.

I think that the US originally expected the offensive to start in April, but April was wetter than expected in Ukraine, and Ukraine's ability to hold on in Bakhmut has prevented Russia from properly preparing (giving Ukraine more time to get ready).
So, we have time to get Ukraine more equipment for this offensive. I wonder how many new howitzers we are sending and what kind they are.
I think the only new thing on this list is the Hydra rockets for Ukrainian helicopters. All of this looks like stuff that will help Ukraine in this offensive: mine-clearing charges, trucks and logistics equipment, and lots of all kinds of ammo.

This just looks like a rocket barrage in the distance where is the patrol and their casualties?
According to this latest map from WarMapper, Polohy is just behind the front lines, so it is very possible Ukraine did send a recon patrol.

If UAF recon units were all the way in Polohy and didn't get shot at, that would be very concerning for the Russians considering the front is closer to Orikhiv.
Its still a little concerning they made it that far before being attacked.

If a recon patrol did get caught and suffered casualties, it should not be very surprising. In the event that Ukraine throws 1k vehicles into an offensive, does anybody think there won’t be casualties and losses?
Either side could lose 20-30% if the vehicles or worse in an offensive and still call it a good day if they achieve their objectives.

Sounds like it was around Orekhov according to a few other accounts. I shouldn't have put Polohy
