Denmark has agreed to send 2700 anti tank missiles.

This thing is going south real fast if the fighting doesn't stop tomorrow.

The United States said on Sunday that Americans trying to exit Ukraine should consider leaving via land border crossings with Hungary, Romania and Slovakia, as wait times to cross there are lower than at the crossing with Poland and Moldova -- well over 30 hours in some cases

Wonder how many we still have over there?

I don’t think it’s the Ukrainian resistance so much as it seems to be a failure in planning. The Russians attacked on too broad a front with too few men. 200,000 might sound like a big number, but note the size of the area they are assaulting.

The thing that concerns me the most and has me scratching my head is that Russia is only invading with 10-20% of it's active duty [eta im bad at math]. I know "it is propoganda" but everytime I see a video of captured Russians, they are confused boys with the "We were told we were going to a training exercise" reply. Ive also seen reports that the Russian Navy has not been involved offensively other than supporting landing craft.

Russia has been playing war with Syria for the last 5 years. It is safe to assume their military forces are battle experienced and not the confused boys we see on TikTok.

Russia could have some cards up its sleeve.

It’s starting to feel like Russia realizes this isn’t going as planned and is further and further putting themselves in a corner to where they’re about to do some really fricking crazy shite. Almost to the point of no return.

I don’t believe that’s an accurate statement. This force is 170-190K soldiers

I may be influenced by propaganda and hope for Ukraine, but I agree, and that's scary.

The people who matter know far more about Russian force and it shouldn't cause a problem. However, if this is the case, then Russia did not execute the tactic well as if these videos and stories get back to Russian people, it will just piss them off with their ire directed at Putin.

Yeah, it’s weird watching it in real time. Not just idiocy from the media, but actual propaganda from all sides understanding why they’re doing it, but not trusting anything. I’m honestly scared.

It’s weird because that potential reality is somewhat contradicted by how we got here.

Meaning that many think Putin has uncharacteristically overreached, yet he’s likely showing restraint by not trying to punish the cities to end this. Perhaps it really comes down to a genuine miscalculation by a leader who is still calculating and to an extent, cautious.

Of course, we are now at a part where it seems pretty hard to see Russia returning to the IC any time soon, so I suppose he might drop the caution as a result.

@noonanjo
feed is so overwhelmingly pro-Ukraine, worry that it's presenting a skewed vision of reality. We know the Russians have had trouble. We know Ukrainian morale is high and they are resisting everywhere. But we also know there are a shitload of Russians still moving inside Ukraine.
