The Russians are being sent to war with no socks and rusty guns. I almost feel sorry for them.

From your link:

Russian forces who are suffering poor resupply, running out of complex weapons significantly, very low morale, desertions, people being mobilised and within days being sent to the frontline, many of whom are dying, no food, no socks, no basic equipment, rusty guns.

“Almost” is the key word in that phrase. I’ve run out of sympathy for the Russians. They have plenty of land and resources but their ruler thinks he’s a great Russian conquerer who will be remembered for the next 500 years as a great man. He just wants more. If he had Ukraine then he’d grow bored and want even more.

Yep. It's been 8 months and the Russian ppl still support the little dictator. The Russian ppl could have stood up to Putin many times over the years and in the months since this invasion but they did not. So I do not have sympathy for the poor Russian grunts in the cold and wet trenches without food or socks.

I was listening to BBC News hour this afternoon. They were interviewing some soldiers on the Southern front. The guy basically said "the Russians are poorly trained, the run at us shouting hoorah, but there are more Russians than we have bullets"

We have so many old M113 APCs that I do t know why we haven’t sent Ukraine a shitload of them.

Other NATO countries are sending M113s.

I’m also a little surprised we haven’t sent them any Bradley’s either.

We aren't sending modern Western heavy armor to Ukraine, because we don't want to "provoke" Putin or "escalate" the situation.

Maybe that will change.

I don’t really buy that argument though for the simple reason that we have already sent HIMARS, M109 self propelled howitzers, M777 towed howitzers, 120 mm heavy mortars, MRAPS and air defense weapons but something like the Bradley would be off the table? I get not sending Abrams because of their size and their engines would be more trouble than they are worth for the Ukrainians but Bradleys would be perfect working alongside tank units or even on their own. These are systems that we have an abundance of unlike our HIMARS and M777s, are being phased out of our active forces with their next generation replacement currently down to 5 companies and has a target date of 2026 to enter service so you would actually be saving money sending these types of systems to Ukraine and you’d help Ukraine at the same time. Seems like a no brainer to me but I’m not the guy making those decisions.

Anecdotal situation, but my friend (who just got out of active duty in the Army as a Cav Scout) is always talking about how clapped out all the Bradleys were in his unit. Always breaking down, he says if we had to rely on them in a war we'd be fricked.

As a former Abrams tanker, that's 100% correct. I hated being anywhere near those clown cars. More noise, taller signature and inferior firepower. I preferred Cav Scouts in our battalions to be in Humvees ike they were in the 1st CAV.

It makes no sense for 19Ds to be in a noisy, tall vehicle.

Its harder to understand the Poliboard because they don't remove Putin's dick before the speak. These guys just have KGB behind the cameras.

Ukraine could use Bradleys, though. But the MBTs they need are German Leopard 2 tanks, and Germany needs to be on board.

If NATO is going to send in modern Western heavy armor, then it needs to make the decision together.

It’s odd. The poli board, which actually represents or at least mirrors a large contingent of Americans and people around the world, has a rightful suspicion of the msm. But bc of the perceived or real lean to the left, EVERYTHING said or written which does not conform to their narrative is false. Every journalist, politician, every general, every Republican l, every person who does not say what they want to hear is an idiot or corrupt. Every person who presents a narrative which correlates with their own is right. There is no “reasonable minds can differ”. It is good vs evil. God vs the Devil! Christian vs the pedophile.

As a result charlatans who want to make a quick buck (I’m talking to you Q, Tuck, Alex Jones etc) who feed them bullshite, they eat it up. Even fricking Putin speaks their language re the WEF, globalism, freedom, Christianity… they support.

Putin is the antithesis of freedom, Christianity, libertarianism and capitalism yet they believe otherwise not because of his actions but because he tells them what they want to hear. So he is here to free the world of “globalism” (whatever the hell that is.. it used to be statism. It changes every few years) and secret biological labs, and trannies/groomers and devil worshippers.

It’s very distressing. We here in this thread oppose the barbaric invasion of a peaceful sovereign nation trying to participate in western capitalism and democracy yet WE are the “warmongers”. The invaders are the ones seeking peace!

I’m actually sad yet thankful that I’m in my 60s and won’t live to see what ultimately becomes of this.
