They are in a good position if it ever comes to tank on tank battle. They must have 700 or so tanks available for combat right now, maybe a little more. Now 11 more MIG-29 fighters and 4 more SU-25’s, little by little donations from many different countries have allowed them to stay in the fight against a much larger country that the entire world thought would roll through them in a month to the point that they are finally becoming able to launch offensives of their own.

Seems CBS is backing down from their doc about how only 30% of aid is reaching the front lines. For many, many reasons.
quote:That thumping you hear is Walter Cronkite rolling in his grave.
CBS News @CBSNews We removed a tweet promoting our recent doc, "Arming Ukraine," which quoted the founder of the nonprofit Blue-Yellow, Jonas Ohman's assessment in late April that only around 30% of aid was reaching the front lines in Ukraine.

Meanwhile, at the cluster frick known as Amnesty International, "FSB agents are starting to float to the surface."
Get a boyfriend. Wow.

Head of Amnesty International's Ukraine arm just resigned yesterday. She basically said they acted too quickly releasing their report and became a tool of Russian propaganda.

Here is the second part of the tweet from CBS.

CBS News @CBSNews · 8h Replying to @CBSNews Since that time, Ohman says delivery has improved. Additionally, the U.S. military has confirmed that defense attaché Brigadier General Garrick M. Harmon arrived in Kyiv in August for arms control and monitoring

ISW Update
quote:
Russian occupation officials may be accelerating their preparations for illegitimate pseudo-referenda on the Russian annexation of occupied Ukrainian territory.
quote:
The Iranian Space Agency (ISA) denied reports on August 7 that Russia will use an Iranian satellite over Ukraine for several months after Russia launches the satellite on behalf of Iran.
quote:
The UK Ministry of Defense (UK MoD) confirmed ISW’s previous assessments that Russian military leadership has experienced major turn-overs due to Russian military failures in Ukraine.9
quote:
Key Takeaways
Russian military leadership continues to experience major turnover, which is likely impacting Russian command and control efforts in Ukraine.
Russian forces conducted limited ground attacks southwest and southeast of Izyum, east of Siversk, and to the east and south of Bakhmut.
Russian forces have likely made incremental gains in settlements on the northwestern and southwestern outskirts of Donetsk City and continued efforts to break Ukrainian defensive lines along the Avdiivka-Donetsk City line of contact.
Russian forces unsuccessfully attempted to advance east of Mykolaiv City on August 7.
Russian forces are forming a new 72nd Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade in Orenburg Oblast as part of the 3rd Army Corps.

So much for that narrative. I will predict the neck beards will continue to use the 30% number in this and other threads for a long time to come.

British Defence Intelligence
UPDATE ON UKRAINE 8 August 2022
INTELLIGENCE UPDATE
Russia is highly likely deploying anti-personnel mines to protect and deter freedom of movement along its defensive lines in the Donbas. These mines have the potential to inflict widespread casualties amongst both the military and the local civilian population.
In Donetsk and Kramatorsk, Russia has highly likely attempted employment of PFM-1 and PFM-1S scatterable anti-personnel mines. Commonly called the butterfly mine, the PFM-1 series are deeply controversial, indiscriminate weapons.
PFM-1s were used to devastating effect in the Soviet-Afghan War where they allegedly maimed high numbers of children who mistook them for toys. It is highly likely that the Soviet-era stock being used by Russia will have degraded over time and are now highly unreliable and unpredictable. This poses a threat to both the local population and humanitarian mine clearance operations.

Another reason...
its been taken down now, but the very same Amnesty staffer who was lead writer on the hit piece, was ALSO in the CBS hit piece pushing the lie that Ukraine was stealing & selling weapons & aid instead of using it in combat
Edit: her name is Donatella Rovera

The reports were taken down because the Intel community and DOD told them to take it down.

This is all very similar to the “well-vetted anti-regime groups” in Syria during the Obama administration. But you tards will latch on to it anyway.
They sure will. CBS just got the call that they fricked up exposing the truth and needed to correct
But this thread believed Russian generals were being run over by their own tanks amongst many other things

quote:Good catch. Yes, Donatella Rovera is one of the researchers of the AI piece and was quoted separately in the CBS doc.
its been taken down now, but the very same Amnesty staffer who was lead writer on the hit piece, was ALSO in the CBS hit piece pushing the lie that Ukraine was stealing & selling weapons & aid instead of using it in combat
quote:
After the release of the film on CBS, there was a barrage of criticism. Experts and journalists pointed out that asking questions about weapons to Amnesty International staff [Donatella Rovera] is incorrect, because human rights defenders should not know such details.
“You are interviewing the human rights expert on weapons tracking. What kind of journalism is this?” — asks journalist Nika Melkozerova, who specializes in the holy war in Ukraine.
“Can an amnesty researcher [Donatella Rovera] say that there is “no way” to trace this weapon? How would she know?” — points out her colleague Tom Match.
Match also reminded that Amnesty International recently published a report on war crimes in Ukraine. Human rights activists said that both Russia and Ukraine violate the rules of war. For this, the Ukrainian authorities and public figures criticized the organization. They emphasized that it is impossible to equate the aggressor and the victim.
The Blue-Yellow organization released a statement saying that CBS was filming the eighth week of the war. From that moment on, logistics, which caused problems with the delivery of weapons, improved significantly. Volunteers also pointed out that the words of their leader Johns Oman were taken out of context.
“When he talked about 30%, he was evaluating the effectiveness of aid to soldiers. In no case did he mean that the equipment is sold on the black market or simply stolen,” Blue-Yellow volunteers emphasize.
Representatives of the organization also warned that CBS information could be used as propaganda against Ukraine. This is already happening: TASS, RT, BELTA released materials with headlines like “Most of the Western military aid to Ukraine does not reach its final destinations.”
The Center of Strategic Communications at the Ministry of Information Policy of Ukraine also criticized the CBS film. The organizations said that US officials do not doubt the good faith of using weapons. The European EUCOM center in Stuttgart, Germany, monitors supplies. In addition, Ukraine has connected to the LOGFAS system, which monitors the use of weapons in NATO countries, including the United States.
The adviser to the head of the office of the President of Ukraine Mihail Podolyak said that Russia is trying to discredit the country in the eyes of the West, I am talking about the “black market of weapons”. In his own opinion, the Russian Federation wants to stop weapons installations.
“But there is no evidence for six months. This is a live war, where everything is visible: results, accounting and control”, – emphasized the representative of the Ukrainian authorities.
So yeah, she pulled it out of her arse for the AI piece and did the same when interviewed by the CBS team. If you feel like she's lost perspectve and that this could be contagious, the comments to her Tweet here are the cure. Enjoy.

Alright 1471 pages.....
Obviously when this thing kicked off the coverage was non-stop and it seemed like within the first couple of days they had winners and losers etc.... (speaking in terms of the mainstream media coverage)...
Now that we are this far along.... why isn't the same energy being covered? Media fatigue? War fatigue? Nothing to cover? I'm just trying to get an update. I haven't kept up with this conflict/war... so every now and then i'll pop in here to try to get some details and to see when this will potentially end etc.
