It's a combination of those things. The inability of the armies to take large amounts of new territory over time has given the war a relatively static feel. Without large developments, media outlets produce less reporting and publics pay less attention.

My main theme of posting in this thread has been to say that all of the news is propaganda and that western media reports what it’s told to report.
The simple fact is that no matter what you all want to believe Ukraine is losing this war. The counteroffensive in Kherson was supposed to start a month ago. They claim they’ll have Kherson by September. It’ll take a miracle for that to happen.

The early media narrative worked. People jumped onboard with no particular concern about the truth.
