I’m going to need to see some links.

Your feigned helplessness and absence of mental memory isn't making any positive impressions. If you truly have no memory of events, perhaps you shouldn't comment. Frankly, you are embarrassing yourself.

The only way this could possibly turn out looking good for you would be if everyone is as helpless as you seem to be.

Well, since you have no memory, here are some links:
Ny Times
Axios
Al Jazeera

If you spent an equal amount of time (this took me about 45 seconds), you could find more.

I followed your link and read what was “free”. The people were under suspicion for years according to the article you linked.

We know Russian spies riddled the US in WW2 and spied on us. You know they are doing as much or more spying in the Ukraine.

In WW2 both Hitler and Stalin fired generals left and right. Putin has kept up that tradition. Why is he do paranoid? Why don’t you criticize him?

The fact is biggest bad guy is Putin. He started the war. Quit trying to put it all on Zelensky.

The administration was even criticized for releasing too much intel to try and warn people.

And there were also the Russian denials. The Russians insisted that they had no intention to invade. The U.S. warned that if Russia invaded, the U.S. would step up military assistance to Ukraine.

Another Link--NPR

The U.S was already working to unify the European nations to oppose the invasion when it happened.

There is a lot to criticize this Administration about. That's for a different discussion. But in the pre-invasion period up to the invasion, the U.S. was already executing a well-thought out plan to isolate Russia and provide assistance to Ukraine. That is a matter of objective fact.

I refuse to praise the Biden Admin for warning the world only after it was patently obvious that the Russian armed forces build up was massive and meant war. The fact is that the Biden Admin had many months to acknowledge the incipient threat to world peace that existed between Putin and Ukraine. Biden had many months to flex his Mass Media Touted Foreign Policy Skillz, but, he did nothing until it was too late.

Biden sat on his hands and the incipient threat manifested into what we have today.

The UN no longer functions in the manner for which it was created - to work to prevent war. The USA has decided to accept this and to take over that role ( why, I don't know). The USA is the World Police. This is what both Dems and the Establishment GOP desire. Biden had months to take the initiative and to be PRO-active in the region using negotiation and diplomacy. He did nothing.

It's almost as though Biden welcomes this war as a world political event that helps his Dem Party's electoral chances. He did so little to prevent the war that this conclusion is not illogical.

We can disagree on pretty much everything you wrote, and that's ok. I highlight this particular excerpt because I don't think the Ukraine situation will result in any significant number of votes for Democrats in the midterms or in the next presidential election. The larger domestic issues, such as inflation, etc, will be the key issues, as they always are. Foreign policy doesn't usually translate into domestic votes unless the U.S. is directly at war and there is a perceived need to show a unified face. The U.S. has been clear from the outset that our troops won't be entering the conflict in any direct way.

Which is another funny thing: George Washington had some of his own troops killed for insubordination. Guess we gotta cancel him too, according to these folks

HONG KONG, July 18 (Reuters) - China has demanded that the United States immediately cancel its latest arms sale to Taiwan, the Chinese state broadcaster reported on Monday, citing the country's Ministry of National Defence.

The Pentagon said on Friday that the U.S. State Department had approved the potential sale of military technical assistance to Taiwan worth an estimated $108 million. read more

From the additional Reuters link in the article:

Taiwan requested the latest assistance, including spare and repair parts for tanks and combat vehicles, and U.S. government and contractor technical and logistical support, the Pentagon said.

"The proposed sale will contribute to the sustainment of the recipient's vehicles, small arms, combat weapon systems, and logistical support items, enhancing its ability to meet current and future threats," the Pentagon's Defense Security Cooperation Agency said in a statement.

It would also enhance Taiwan's military interoperability with the United States and other allies, and the island's armed forces would have no difficulty absorbing the equipment and support, it added.

Also Reuters

quote:

MOSCOW/LONDON/DUBAI, July 15 (Reuters) - Saudi Arabia, the world's largest oil exporter, more than doubled the amount of Russian fuel oil it imported in the second quarter to feed power stations to meet summer cooling demand and free up the kingdom’s own crude for export, data showed and traders said.

quote:

Data obtained by Reuters through Refinitiv Eikon ship tracking showed Saudi Arabia imported 647,000 tonnes (48,000 barrels per day) of fuel oil from Russia via Russian and Estonian ports in April-June this year. That was up from 320,000 tonnes in the same period a year ago.

quote:

Energy analytics firm Vortexa found rising flows of Russian-origin fuel oil cargoes through Egypt and Estonia boosted imports, Vortexa said.

It found Saudi fuel imports from Egypt spiked to a record 110,000 bpd in June as Egypt's imports of Russian fuel oil jumped to a record 70,000 bpd in the same month.

Saudi Arabia has for several years imported Russian fuel oil, which can reduce its need to refine crude for products and cut the amount of oil it needs to burn for power, leaving it with more unrefined crude to sell on international markets at higher prices.

Nothing reported on value of the discount, but this gives a clearer picture of the flow of Russian oil against the sanction regime. We’re up to India, China,Japan, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, the EU countries going around the sanctions trying to keep the lights on. I’m sure there’s several others in ME & Africa.

Shared for additional context to the situation as I came across it, not to argue the sanctions working or not. Thought it was important to share the new details on Russian oil flow.

I am as far from being a Biden supporter as could be. At the same time I do recognize what an invasion as and pull for the scrappy defenders. Should I have not pulled for Qaddafi when Sadat invaded Libya?

@oleksiireznikov

Ukraine government official
I discussed with our great friend Lloyd J. Austin III the upcoming meeting within the framework of #Ramstein: we agreed on the agenda, shared information on the control of arms arriving to Ukraine etc.

Also, @SecDef has some very good news, but details will come a little later

Same here. I criticized Obama for not helping to shore up Ukraine’s defenses, and praised Trump for deciding to help,

95% of Biden’s policies have been crap, but his Ukrainian policies haven’t been bad. He has been too altruistic, but he’s providing technology, and weapons that are vital. I think Putin believed that Biden like Obama would not help Ukraine and Biden proved him wrong.
