Lol at all that but especially “the founders are rolling in their grave” so I’m gonna go join what’s been perceived as our greatest geopolitical threat for the better part of 75 years who damn near nuked us from just 90 miles off our coast to show our govt.

This is why we are where we are domestically. The only people willing to jump and do anything are the loons on either side, even if they are in general right about the wrong direction of our country, and the majority who do agree it’s fricked up chill either out of apathy or fear. All 330 million of us are making the founders roll in their graves and think it’s just the other side.

Gleb is from the Donbas and has been writing about it for a western audience since the war started in 2014. He’s reliable.

He was banned from Twitter, I think he made a sexist comment about someone, god knows.

He only publishes on Telegram now.

Based on what? I mean I’ve been posting on here since 2017, close enough, I don’t expect anyone here to take me as reliable, so I source what I share unless it’s clearly opinion.

If it’s not CNN or Fox then it’s reliable.

It's war crimes. Vlad should be kidnapped and put on trial and then quartered with Ukraine's finest studs.

Reuters - Iran & Argentina apply to joins BRICS

quote:

DUBAI, June 27 (Reuters) - Iran has submitted an application to become a member in the group of emerging economies known as the BRICS, an Iranian official said on Monday.

Iran's membership in the BRICS group, which includes Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa, "would result in added values for both sides," Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesperson said.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said separately that Argentina had also applied to join the group. Argentinian officials could not be reached for immediate comment.

quote:

Argentina's President Alberto Fernandez, currently in Europe, has in recent days reiterated his desire for Argentina to join BRICS.

"While the White House was thinking about what else to turn off in the world, ban or spoil, Argentina and Iran applied to join the BRICS," Zakharova wrote on the Telegram messaging app.

Especially if you look at the irony of denazifing a country because of a neo nazi group (Azov) with less than 2500 members by using a neo nazi group with 8000 members (Wagner)

Or that Russia is basically using the alleged neo nazis group symbol for their entire campaign (Z vs ?)

ETA because the symbol didn't post

Significantly less than during the Cold War. It takes a substantial number to protect miles of border as well as reserve forces to react as needed.

Only Putain's paranoia makes this anything more than a defensive move. Putain already stated years ago he wanted to restore the borders of the USSR.

Since no one is seriously worried about Russia invading a NATO country, and even if they did it’s obvious that it wouldn’t take 300K troops to stop it, the deployment of this expense can mean only one of two things…

A) NATO is planning to enter the fight in Ukraine(not likely)

Or

B) NATO is attempting to put Putin into a corner where he has no other choice but to expand the war or even fire nukes. I’m assuming that NATO has intel or is at least gambling that Putin would be deposed or killed if he tried to do such a thing.

C) Nato has knowledge of some approaching event that they think could trigger Putin to attack a member nation and NATO wants to be ready in case it does happen.

D) Putin has decided to retaliate against Lithuania for their blockade, and Nato is going to try to beat the Russians to the battlefield.

Think back to high school. Do you remember the group of kids that ate lunch together that made no sense? The reality was they sat together because they didn't fit in with any of the other established groups. The needs for alliance often outweigh all the usual connections for association.

There is not a single Western journalist in Donbas. What happens there in my opinion is only written by you, well, I sometimes do.
Everyone prefers to live in a parallel dimension.
Then it will be like in Afghanistan. The press writes victorious reports, the Pentagon reports on the disbursed money.
And then bam!
A complete surprise, in reality everything is completely different and an urgent evacuation of the embassy by helicopter from the roof is already needed ......

“Western” news service Al-Jazeera says that Russia is waging a campaign of terror via missile against civilians and is having equivocal success in the Donbas.

——

This war is going to be a real tragedy for any portion of Ukraine that is not firmly within a secure Ukrainian border after the cessation of fighting. Anybody who has been to Russia outside of the main cities can confirm, Russia is pretty dumpy. Russia is not going to rebuild Ukraine when it can’t pull its own country out of the toilet.

Well, what did I say. Is this Aljazeera writing from the scene or making up "news" while sitting in her office?
Where is her correspondent in Donbass?
There are photos?

As for "Russia will not restore", that's where such confidence comes from? Do you write that Mariupol has already begun to restore? And we have a non-stop in the media show.

As for "anyone who has been in Russia outside of major cities is pretty dirty", I see great progress among the "experts" in Russia. It's already good that there is no mention of bears, vodka and balalaika.
Look at least on Google maps, there is the possibility of virtual travel through cities and roads.
For example, I don’t write to you that “anyone who has traveled around the USA knows about drug-addicted areas around large cities and the whole USA is like that.”
I was in the USA, I can say that this is not the case everywhere. Have you been to Russia or not, but do you know that?

Don’t think so, but the entire footprint of the base was wiped off the map. Kind of hard to make out craters from the still of the gif because there’s some smoke captured.
