What an absolutely despicable article, mitch may be the worst thing that's ever happened to this city/region. He sure is getting a lot of mileage out of these statues, while having to deal with this he is able to ignore the rampant murders/theft, and the cities infrastructure. I never thought I'd actually consider leaving this region, but assholes like him and jbe are making it difficult. I wonder what all the race baiters are going to do when the tax base that subsidizes their bs dries up and goes elsewhere?

I really don't give a shite about the monuments. I just think its a huge waste of money to tear these down and does nothing to make the city a better place. The fact that they exists has the same impact on my life as it does your and that is zero. I think this whole uproar over them are bullshite. All of this started when that fricking psycho killed them people in that church. Before that I had never heard anyone complain about a damn statue. People today both white and black go out of their way looking for a reason to get pissed off. Ok, you take down the statues what will be next? What if a group of white people are offended by a street being named for Martin Luther King? Do you change the name? I am sick of this shite and all of the division in this country. We are fighting amongst ourselves all the while a damn mad man is trying to drop a nuke on us. Maybe something like that needs to happen to make people wake up and realize their are much bigger problems in this world we should be dealing with.
