Lake Charles allegedly lead the nation in new infections per capita last week. Hopefully, if they shut LC down again over that people will look at the past 3 large gatherings of protestors here and not stand for the bullshite.

I hear you on a personal, visceral level. It seems fundamentally unfair.
The reality is that it is unfair, in an objective sense. Our Constitution currently protects certain things at a higher level than others. That's the entire reason why we have different tests for different issues.

A ton of them actually Lyft and Uber to work everyday. I have ridden rideshare here quite a few times in the morning and found it hard to get rides. Several drivers have told me they haul tons of support staff to work every morning.

I'd be much more afraid if the government was shutting down peaceful political assemblies than I'm concerned about a virus. If you're against their right to do this you should step back and ask what is really clouding your judgement.

Correct. They can protest until their heat is content as long as Hoston baws can come here and make donations to the GN without worrying if the Fire Marshall is going to cite them for being over their COVID restricted capacity.

In fairness, more people here were wearing a mask before they saw the double standard of large protestors gathering and the media saying those gatherings weren't in danger of spreading the virus. After that is when you had all the Bubbas saying frick it.
